His nickname was 'Daisy', no kidding.

    'Meh' indeed, pfft.

No idea, since I'm not a clergyman. Ask a priest, or something. :-)

    More players coming in...ideas?

I'd have Petrasso back in a heartbeat. Talented lad, in my opinion.

Coventry City - Best player ever

Nilsson is my personal choice for most gifted City player ever. Favourites tend to get melded with all-time bests, I find, it's difficult to narrow one player down from 1000's because of fans ages, which era of CCFC they were 'in' etc. I find it's easier to pick a best all-time 11 for CCFC...

    Torch's Counselling Thread

Good thinking. Netflix on tap, problem solved. :-)

The pies and pasty issue - the plot thickens

Can you imagine the Health and Safety brigade if this was still a common practice?! They'd be confiscating pies, chucking the tea down the bogs and manhandling the poor dispenser bloke out of the stadium for interrogation.

    Respect

He probably felt deeply wronged in some way, hence the need to broadcast the reasons why he's leaving so people would be availed of these reasons. Nice of him to go to the lengths of posting the names of those he respects, but still, I just find I'm Leaving threads to be unnecessary.

    Religious intolerance

That's fine, but then you load your comment with mockery and bait at the end? Your views are your own, as are mine, however I really only bite back when the provocation is unavoidable. Respect goes a long way. :-)

    Respect

Has anyone else departed the forum in this manner? Although I have no problems with WEA, it does seem a bit dramatic to post an I'm Leaving thread...

Not really, no. I think you've missed my point about 'extreme factions' within every religion. It may be nonsense to you, but I have found my way through Christ, thanks.

We would often complain that we didn't have a 'rasta' in our group, haha, in fact 2 of us went looking for one around the college so he could come to Stoned-Henge for a few. :-)

    Religious intolerance

At most we had about 3 different religious types in our 'group', who regularly same to Stoned-Henge (my mate's flat) for a few blasts. Surprisingly we had a Sikh lad and a Muslim lad, as well as a 'Shinto' lad (he was from Japan) and as you can imagine, it was a sheer conflict of faith, haha...

Yep, that happened a lot. :-) Usually they fell over into the water bong and munchies, or into the stereo. One of my friends actually put his foot through one of the stereo speakers, and went goose-stepping around the flat like Basil Fawlty. Had to be there, but two of the 6 of us present...

Absolutely, he probably reads the King James Version, like myself. There's more varieties of Bibles these days than there is types of coffee in Starbucks, it's mad. And yes, the modern ones tend to re-word the scriptures in a way that diminishes their value, a bit.

    Religious intolerance

Well, some things we'll have to agree to disagree on, mate. Like Bill Hicks once said: "I've never seen anyone get into a fight on Pot, it's fucking IMPOSSIBLE" Very true, and before Weed started cabbaging my noggin, I used to engage in the same sorts of debates with my circle of college...

    cheap run about

Nope, not frigging cheap at all. I discovered ALL of the belts connected to the crankshaft on my Focus had been sheared off, would have cost me £200 for the parts and labour, since when the belts went they damaged the screen-washer connectors AND the driveshaft as well (somehow). Depends where...
