    Coventry Evening Telegraph

Mine is definitely Eugene Aloitious Barracuda the third, been itching to use that nom-de-plume for years. As for the Pink, I too have fond memories of it, even at 17 I used to read up my nan's on a sunday after a roast dinner, lovely. I've still got the issue from 1997, our Great Escape at...

Anyone remember the arcade in Gosford Street? Full of quality arcade games, even a retro Outrun at some point, oh my weekends were expensive as a kid. :-) Sega Saturn was a tidy little system as well, I loved the Panzer Dragoon games and Nights. Fighters Megamix was, in my opinion, THE...

Anyone remember Gain Ground for the Sega Master System? Alex the Kidd? Cloud-Master? Addictive is the only word I can use that describes those games.

    Religious intolerance

You're actually spot on, mate. This is also why I'm backing out of discussions of this nature, to not 'offend' any more Atheists with the perspective my faith gives. It's not my goal to offend or provoke, despite people's opinion on that statement. I will say this: when we leave our physical...

Fine, shove your miserable face right up your chuff, mate. Clearly old grudges die hard, despite my effort to at least have a laugh with you.

And there we have it, the essence of Atheism. This is why I'm not engaging in any 'discussions' in this thread anymore.

The fact that Nick has remained silent isn't a good sign though, I'm guessing... ...shame really, cos these 5 kilos of smack in my shed aren't gonna shift themselves.

Haha. Indeed, marketing is a sly game. If it's true, and if they take the club over and assimilate it, it's better than languishing and rotting like this; I will say this though, I hope RB will be respectful and at least keep some semblance of the team's identity. For us long-suffering...

It's also worth mentioning, a lot of games of that era were feckin' well hard to complete. Anyone remember The Chaos Engine for PC, Amiga and SNES? Took me 3 months to get through that, and 6 weeks of that was solid gaming through the summer holidays. Also, I borrowed a Japanese Famicom from...

I do trust RS's judgement, he seems the sort of guy who won't just give any old mercenary a contract...let's see how the lads do, and if they're up to the task, I'm sure RS can be trusted to make the right call.

    Mowbray's got a new job..

Fair enough, TM is a nice guy, but that in itself is not conducive to being a success in L1; he proved that with us. Well, even though he did bottle it with us, I wish him the best. Even so, I can't see him doing much/staying long at Chesterfield.

Neo Geo (system) - Wikipedia It's an arcade simulator, mate, a pretty hefty console system for 1990. The emulators were still glitchy, but I think the neoRagex5 was probably the best. It has a good catalogue of games/ROMS if one has the time to look. :-)

    Torch's Counselling Thread

Was wondering about you, Torch, you hadn't been on for a few days...keep strong, brother, through every adversity is redemption, and through the darkest of days that fire within still burns bright, with the strength of the human spirit and soul. red bull again

I'm going off the assumption that Leipzig was bought, it wasn't. Please feel free to check yourself, as I'm not getting into a ridiculous debate about it. Either way, whatever happens with Red Bull will be a blessing, if it transpires; takeover or not, it'll be good for Coventry in general.
