Relocating to Coventry - advice welcome!

I'm still surprised the "sent to Coventry" joke hasn't been made, maybe we are past that. In all honesty I live in Mount Nod and would recommend it and Eastern Green. Near the A45 a couple of nice pubs about and not far from the city centre.

We don't moan enough on here.....

I remember playing Palace at home and Clinton Morrison was playing for them, their manager (think it was Dowie) called him over to pass on instructions and he proceeded to sprint to the far corner by the telegraph stand, did his laces and then his number came up to be subbed off. I've never seen...

We don't moan enough on here.....

I hate sitting next to people who are opinionated and shout obscenities at players and officials, mostly they sound like jibberish and for some reason come to games as a poor mans Liam Gallagher impersonator

We don't moan enough on here.....

The amount of foul throws in professional football. It's a simple action and yet people who are paid to play the game cannot do it properly! Refs let it go too yet on a Sunday morning they are all over it like a tramp on chips!!!!

    Iyseden Christie

I played against him, and other ex city players, in a charity tournament in the summer. Nice guy and can still finish!

    More players coming in...ideas?

Agree with needing a new GK and a striker though. Would happily take Murphy back and think Jay Simpson is the most likely option and I for one would be happy with that. Failing that look at League 2/Conference and try and pick up someone prolific at that level, Vardy and Dwight Gayle came from...

In other news, Lewis Page signed for Charlton on a perm deal today. Weird one that.

    Protest groups who's who

Personally I agree I think TF needs to step away from the club for the good of everyone involved, either that or have some concrete information on stadium/academy/Ryton to try and at least offer an olive branch to the fans (not customers Tim!!!) In regards from what I want from the Trust, I...

    Protest groups who's who

I agree with the OP here that there are too many groups all with similar agendas. Why is it so difficult to have one group to represent the fans and have a common goal and an open line of communication with the club? I know I'll probably get crucified for this but why not have someone who can...

    Idiots with the whistles

The Bolton players complained to the ref midway through the second half buddy

Match Thread Coventry v Bolton Match Thread - Monday 2nd Jan

I also sit on halfway and I heard it on a number of occasions. Me and the 3 others I was sat with all noticed Reilly and Sterry stop when the whistle went. The lad blowing the whistle has obviously never played a game of football as he would know when a team is against the cosh like that all...

Russell Slade - target list started

I seen you mentioned Jay Simpson in an earlier post. He has handed in a transfer request today according to Sky. Where are you getting your info from or you just on a lucky streak? If so can I have the next lot of lottery numbers please haha

    Welcome the messiah.. Russell Slade

I'm really happy with this appointment, have been calling for a L1 manager since TM left. Knows the division and knows players who will work in this division. Glad he has been brought in before Xmas gives him a bit of time to assess the squad and see who he likes/doesn't like and can make early...

    Torch's Counselling Thread

Just seen this thread and like so many others can only wish you the best as we have been affected by terrible illnesses in our families. You positivity is inspirational though makes my rubbish day at work embarrassing at best! Keep your chin up and the support will be here from everyone

Jump to July 2017 and likely league two...

I was talking theoretically and with the squad at my disposal at this very moment. IMO the only loans we should extend are Sterry and Page while look at bringing in a striker. I think George should get a run of games in the team also but I feel he is L2 at best

Jump to July 2017 and likely league two...

I agree they are more than capable GK but I've always been of the feeling that an experienced GK would challenge the young lads and also help out on the training ground.

Jump to July 2017 and likely league two...

If you tell him his remit is to be a target man then you train on those traits all week. If not then you get a target man in during January Plus you can only work with what you got at the minute. Wright is one of the worst players I've seen wear a city shirt and Tudgay must be made of rubber as...
