Arsenal and Liverpool in race to sign James Maddison (Independent)

Do they? Gibbs, Ox, Walcott, Wilshere, Chambers, Ramsay, Welbeck, Akpom, Jenkinson.....

Arsenal and Liverpool in race to sign James Maddison (Independent)

I'm not disputing how good he is but he plays in League One, not the Championship or Premier League. If we can get £5m for him then we should take the money and run. If your pricing him higher than £5m then that's more than Everton paid for Delefeou and three times as much as West Brom paid for...

    John Fleck

Seems highly unlikely. Fleck has been one of our best players this year and according to a few interviews I've read there appears to be a strong desire to keep him.

Arsenal and Liverpool in race to sign James Maddison (Independent)

How can anyone say he's worth more than £5m? I think he's great but he's barely played 20 professional matches. I remember people saying similar about Bigi and he ended up going for £1m.

Arsenal and Liverpool in race to sign James Maddison (Independent)

Good for him. The sooner our fans realise that we'll always be a selling club, the better. Similarly to Wilson, I wish him nothing but success. If we can get him loaned back, even better.

    John Fleck

In which case I find the rumour even more far-fetched. We'd get virtually nothing for him, particularly with the sell on clause to Rangers. I'd rather he left for nothing in the summer.

    John Fleck

First I've heard of it, isn't he out of contract in the summer anyway?

CCFC take up 2 year extension at Ricoh

Did anyone genuinely expect us to be anywhere else?

    John Fleck

I disagree. At Bradford he was comfortably the best player on the pitch, he didn't do badly on Saturday either.

    John Fleck

Appreciate we missed Fleck on Saturday but what's wrong with Bigi?

    So, Reice Charles Cooke...

Appreciate it's not a priority but, if there's budget available, bring in an experience keeper to see us through to the end of the season. That'll give both Burge and RCC chance to learn and develop. One thing I would add is that we shouldn't forget that RCC kept us in the game prior to the...

3-1 Phillips in for Ricketts. Wouldn't be surprised to see Kent back in for Ruben.

    Would've thought it'd be Fleck.

Coventry City must match Tony Mowbray's ambitions if they want to keep him

My only criticism on this piece is that he offers no solutions. We all know Mowbray will be in demand, that's inevitable, but what AT doesn't point out is how hard (or impossible) it might be to match his ambitions, particularly when compared to the riches of some Championship clubs.

    telegraph report fulham want mowbray

To be fair it's an opinion piece by AT. It's not a bad piece apart from that it gives no solutions. Just adds more anti-sisu fuel to the fire.

    telegraph report fulham want mowbray

I don't understand why everyone's so surprised - it's the easiest story to produce. If there is any substance I really couldn't blame Mowbray for leaving: - Higher Salary - Higher League - Higher Budget And before anyone bleats about loyalty, it works both ways and if we end up falling from...
