It was the night it was recorded - still no royalties. :( I can tell you that the lady from Curved Air performed commando that night, and she was a natural blonde ! I was right in the front row - feet under the stage, and when she twirled......

Oh to be Hull - why can't Coventry Council halp CCFC

Coventry City Council would struggle to justify using tax payers money to invest in a loss making facility. Which is what it remains at the moment. As someone who does pay council tax in Coventry I was against the council getting involved in the first place. Admittedly the stadium and...

    The 'Monarchy Question'?

Of course we'd be so much better off with someone like Arthur Scargill in charge. :thinking about: Or maybe Bob Crowe, couple of fine left wing characters there.

    The 'Monarchy Question'?

Oh no - I'm just saying we don't truly have a democracy - just enough of one to keep the simple minded one reasonably content. Just occaisionally something causes an uprising and people actually use thier heads to vote.

    The 'Monarchy Question'?

Yes very good - however I meant that there have been many questions over Mr Robinson's activities down the years, yet he has still been elected - I am saying that in most seats the winner is known in advance, thus Tony Blair's son being lined up for a Coventry seat. The 'Monarchy Question'?

Yeah - like we have so much ability to effect things now - who voted for a coalition ? We give up our freedom for the right to mark a cross on a piece of paper once every 5 years. In reality government is decided by the few constituencies that actually can change. I've had Robinson for years...

    The Missing 20,000 Fans

The reason we failed was that we had a manager who judged players by his opinion on their ability and not their performance - dropping Roussell when it was obvious him and Keane had an understanding, buying Bellamy as a striker - he is an attacking midfield player, playing Hadji as a striker...

    Lost pubs of Coventry

I must have drunk in every one of these pubs. Did most of my drinking in town, used to go in the Alhambra when Don Fardon kept it, lunchtimes from school. The silver Sword used to open at half five so that was first stop after a match, then we found the 7 stars (I think) up by The Old Stag...
