Chaps hearing the ricoh deal is done..

The ACLs in comings and out going isn't any real concern to the club or SISU. Thats between the ACL and there bank, SISU have to do what right for them and the club. If the only way the ACL can stay solvent as a business is by charging a figure which the market can bear then there business is...

No, don't put words in the ACLs mouth, lets deal just in the facts.. They have dropped the rent figure, therefore they agree it was too high.

Come on CJ you can answer that one yourself surely. A league one comparison is more likely to support an argument that the rent is too high. If you want to support your argument you should do your own study

I think your point 4 is key, if the issue is just about the rent, then I would think it'll be settled early in the new year. If SISU are trying to force the ACL into admin it'll drag on. If that's the cases you have to admire the Gordon Gekko size balls of SISU. Not that I want them to ever...

Chaps hearing the ricoh deal is done..

Your argument is self defeating, I agree we don't have all the facts. But I'm sure the ACL do, they have offered to drop the rent by 65 ish % so they clearly accept that given the current circumstances the rent they are charging is too high.

Chaps hearing the ricoh deal is done..

The legal thing will take months, at best, it's very hard to know how this will all play out in the end, there has been so much miss information, two thread today, one saying the deal is done, the other saying talks have stalled. In all likely hood nothing will happen before the start of next...

Chaps hearing the ricoh deal is done..

That would be nice wouldn't it , but i agree its unlikely. I think from the SISU side they would see paying anything would weaken there position, and would buy the ACL sometime with the bank.

Chaps hearing the ricoh deal is done..

Well we're lead to believe that they want to pay, what they(SISU) consider to be a fair rent. I am somewhat concerned at how long it has taken to sort the rent issue out. But I would be equally concerned if we were cutting the playing staff and still paying out the same rent week in, week...

Chaps hearing the ricoh deal is done..

The big discount and match day revenue isn't really details of how they negotiations were undertaken, that just the outcome. To me the fact that they have dropped so fair so fast shows they know they have been taking the piss for sometime. As above I don't see SISU as being "fairly" I think...

Chaps hearing the ricoh deal is done..

How do you know any of that, the negotiations have been behind closed doors and the details haven't been report to any great degree. I agree SISU have taken an extreme position to deal with the rent issue. I doubt they did that lightly, there must have been a reason (putting aside the issue that...

Chaps hearing the ricoh deal is done..

Really, do you really believe that ? There just as hard noised as SISU. By most measures, the ACL got the financial incompetence in charge of the club at the time to sign up to a rent way above the going rate for a club in the championship.

Chaps hearing the ricoh deal is done..

Why shouldn't they, it's a buyers market, other wise we would have been kicked out.
  14. PhilWasn'tBabb

Chaps hearing the ricoh deal is done..

That's not our problem, that's the problem of the owners of the ground. It's in the clubs interest to pay the lowest rent they can, I would expect or owners to get the best deal they can for the club.

Chaps hearing the ricoh deal is done..

There must be 60 plus teams at anyone time that believe they have a divine right to be in the premiership Cov being one of them. There are 20 places in the premiership, that means a lot of clubs arent going to make there goal of being there, Coventry are one of those clubs, sisu are partly to...

Lol, well unless the ACL have managed the secure a surprise rent increase, with CCFC now pay 2.6 million a year, that would be like CJparkers christmas's all coming at once ;)

Guardian: Coventry City rent stand-off threatens League One club's existence

It's nice put together, as ever with the Guardian but as others have said there's nothing new really, other than the quotes they have got from the council and the Higgs. That having been said, I'm not nearly as worried about whats going to happen as they would appear to be, perhaps my...
