Great result for me. Where I live is full of Villa fans, most of whom never go near a game and know sod all about football. But they have been full of it for the last few weeks. I go to the town centre and there have been blokes flogging hats, scarves and flags to the sad gits. I have been telling them they are in for a pasting in the final so this will shut them up for a while.

The other thing is how the Vile fans throughout the afternoon have been lauded as "fantastic" & "brilliant"...then lots pissed off before the end...many of those left pissed off before the players got the medals. Did they not feel that after be soundly beaten their team needed their support more than ever???

I agree that was the most one sided finals in my lifetime,Villa were woeful and just gave up when they went two down, but to have no shot,on or off target,and no corners was truely a pathetic attempt.

I didn't even watch it. That's how bothered I was. I just checked the result about 20 minutes ago. Can't say that Villa bother me any more. They are a Premier side, we are 3rd Division. Haven't played them for years, so the rivalry has worn a bit thin now. Maybe when we're back at the top I might start hating them again, but at the moment, there's not one team I would call our "rivals".

I felt a tad guilty in gloating at Villa's display (quietly, with can of Kronenbourg), but was a bit surprised that while the pundits picked on Grealish, they all seemed to ignore Benteke's performance, which I thought was total pants - as well as poor defensively, he gave up big time imho and rarely chased down anything. Poor - and if Villa got offered a packet for him, i'd take it if I were them. Arsenal made them look really poor....and perhaps they are ?
