He has said it publicly in an Interview a couple of weeks back IIRC.

Doubt his employers would have a problem as it would pressurise ACL's position just as much as their own.:thinking about:

That thought did cross my mind actually...although knowing him I don't think it would stop him saying it anyway.

i do think he has cov in his heart. the way he taks to fans on facebook, his kids wear cov kits, go to school in cov.

but then MR had sky blue blood and it throws my opinion on loyalty out the window :thinking about:

That's true enough! I think he's different to the modern player in some ways in that he does seem to build a genuine rapport and affinity with the fans of the clubs he plays for...I know the Stockport fans still idolise him.

yeahh, he may be one of the rare few :thinking about:

but even Sheffers turned judas for money :thinking about:

so I've accepted that pros (generally) don't care for any club

Top bloke...takes a lot of guts to admit publically that his employers have got this very wrong.
I hope they don't take any action for him doing that.

Maybe he believes that there are other sides in this who have got it wrong as well?

He might very well do but the petition background info itself...certainly the lead-in in the CT is very much pointing the finger at SISU and THEIR suggested plan of taking the club out of the city...are you implying that SISU will welcome the petition as it paints ACL in such a poor light? To get them back to the table? Genuinely hadn't considered that.

I do think it's still just a scare tactic rather than a legitimate moving plan, but it's nice that it forced the Telegraph's hand.
