I think he goes Grimes, which would be a mistake imo

Thing is with our midfield options and the way we set up, youve got to play 1 of Grimes or Onyeka really.

For me, id be starting Grimes and Yirenkyi as Onyeka came back later than Yirenkyi from the break, and Yirenkyi is just a better player

Milan back in at RWB, and Gboho starting for EMC

If it was me

Rushworth
Thomas
Pinnock
Mfuni
Milan
Grimes
Yirenkyi
Dasilva
Rudoni
Gboho
BTA

I'm with Frank on team selection.
As for the empty seats..I think it's a bit of Club & our lack of support which means we can't fill the stadium for Newcastle on a Monday.
Why do people seemingly get so hung up on seats selling out - there will be 30k+ AGAIN

How is that lack of support ffs? Its monday night, £50 ticket, we have 2 saturday home games coming up quickly also, which people may prioritise.

If you're going, great, if not, great.....we all want the same outcome.

I do worry about Milan and Grimes in any starting 11. MVE hasn't started the season well at all and Grimes slows the pace down. We also have an issue up front. Apart from that i'm excited as it's premier league on a Monday night and hoping it's a cracking game.

I think people are being too harsh on Grimes. We're only a few games in and although he hasn't been amazing he is important to the team. Don't forget we have played against the top two away from home. Give him time. I would like to see Torp getting more game time but it a long season so I'm sure they'll all get their chance. I would like a midfield of Grimes, Yirenkyi and Rudoni.

Tickets should be slightly cheaper lets be honest as not selling out shows really , thats how it works . The demand at that price isnt there for tonight

There won’t really be 30k there though will there, the same as there clearly wasn’t in Hull game. The empty seats are pretty apparent.

Not sure how accurate it is but according to Tranfermarkt there's only one club who has a lower % of capacity so far this season. That's not great when we should have a feel good factor having gone up as champions and it being our first PL season in 25 years.

That said we're not talking a huge number of tickets. For tonight there's 184 in the Family Zone and 432 in the rest of the ground still on sale.

City to win 2-1 Goals from
rudi and BTA

Wonder if their fans will be confused if I joined in with their 'Stand up if you hate Sunderland' chant

Are we wearing that pink shirt tonight?

Nothing at all, give it a fucking rest

I agree with you, however will caveat that with, he's been here 2 months now, just had 3 full weeks to train and learn the system in the break. If he's not of a level to at least compete for a place up top ahead of BTA and Simms then questions absolutely should be asked for the outlay

From the BBC article:

Coventry City chief business officer, Nicola Ibbetson, told BBC CWR that 10% of the overall shirt sales will go to charity, with match-worn shirts from Monday's game against Newcastle United set to be auctioned off later this month.

I read that as yes

Wright, Simms and Eccles not playing, someone’s gotta be the new boo boy 🤷‍♂️

Agree with that midfield if MvE is fit/ready to go

Think Grimes is becoming slightly underrated on here now, no way should he be dropped for Torp.

I thought Grimes had a pretty good game at Forest. He does a lot of things that don't get noticed. I was glad he was brought back in the team at Forest as I thought against Villa we missed a leader on the pitch and gave the ball away far too much.

Lets hope for a very good Monday night under the lights 🤞

Feeling the nerves again now, but think we'll get a positive result tonight. 2-1 win

Not going as in Portugal with the wife. But will be cheering them on from afar. Will be a couple of empty seats unfortunately as hadn’t done anything about transferring them 😳😳 but I’ll be cheering the lads on from Ferragudo 🇵🇹 hoping the civic colours of the local flag is a lucky omen. If anyone is in the local area keep an eye out for the drunk bloke in speedo’s on the all dayer.

Which is exactly the same as every other club

I have no idea why anybody having watched that Villa game where they sliced through us at will could conclude that Torp would be a better bet in midfield.

Time to get to work tonight. 100% effort nothing less than that. Suspect a few tweaks to the Forest side.

Think MVE will come back in but one of Caleb or Frank will get dropped in that case.

Gboho in for EMC would be another but possible Lampard isn’t that brave.

Same team that played vs forest. Only change I would maybe make is EMC. Despite being concerned pre Forest, asante had a great game up top, deserves the start tonight. MVE has been poor this season so far, I would give Mfuni and Yirenki another game down the right side.
I think MVE has been effected by offield problems and personal relationships. Hopefully hes through it now👍
I've only just got used to us looking like Argentina on Steroids.
All I see is a sea of Tesco bags in the family stand!
