The issue is that we do look far off the level because we are missing so many chances. That's part of the issue.

People started getting annoyed the 5th time EMC tried to muscle a bloke half his size and losing out. He then did it and they scored.

Half time, people looked deflated even at 1-0.

Second half, EMC gets another good chance with time to just take a shot and does a weird, limp pass back to the keeper.

Two things.gs I couldn't understand JDS mopped a Ball up in space and went to Rushworth who's distribution to the Wings was off he could have turned and started something.Amenda played a beautiful Ball at the end out to the left wing about 5mins from time.

I don't have a season ticket these days but generally in previous seasons I've been subjected to such regular abject shite my response is to shuffle out muttering to myself about the utter crap I'd just watched. Really great reaction. I know lots of people are likely to disagree with me (including my lad…who unlike me doesn’t remember the war) but I ain’t waited 25 years to see us playing in the prem only to moan and groan through the season cos we’re not very good in comparison to the other teams. Fuck that.

Hopefully we’ll reach the stage where we can actually score a goal…

The way the fans responded at the end of today’s game was one of my favourite moments over the last few seasons. Sounds weird. But it reminded me of what it means to come from Cov. Some people wouldn’t understand, but this spirit is deeply a part of us. Took me back to being back in the prem and our survival battles every season.

All going on about 'We'll be back' but none of that defiance when we actually are back and are in the trenches as everyone with a brain expected! Back the team it's the only thing we can control. I must be weird but my favourite moments are goals and at least looking up for it and battling. It doesn't remind me of a survival battle because there was no battle. The players and the manager look shit and negative but not sure "waited 25 years" and all that really washes.

The players got a very good reception after the man city game, fans all stayed and were loud. Didn't seem to give them much inspiration today.
