It’s probably about what we did pay. The £20m reported came from Romano describing it as a “£20m package” which probably means including add ons.

Of course not but we’ve also not paid half that, he’ll have gone for more than Burnley paid. The only report out there on the up front fee is €18m so around £15.5m

So a whole extra £3.5m, which in PL terms is nothing at all. He’s a young player with 3 years’ top flight experience, the fee is hardly extortionate.

The endless negativity and need to write players off as soon as they’ve signed gets very boring after a while (granted, it wasn’t you).

I wonder with the January transfer window 2026 27 approaching, I wonder if Cov will put in s cheeky bid for Victor Gyokeres and/ or Will Langshear at Middlesbrough.
I know Middlesbrough are pushing for promotion but they normally cock it up ,don't they
 
My personal AI benchmark I test every new model with is to write a chant for a player. They are usually hilariously bad. Like even for an American. But it’s a good test cos it needs to understand terrace culture and the rhythm of tunes. Neither of which are in the training much.

The new ChatGPT 6 though, not amazing but I’ve got to say it’s getting pretty close

I think he will like it especially as he speaks French and his main trait is as a dribbler. I know he watched The Enemy pre-match performance and was absolutely blown away. He’s very much into the atmosphere of English football and anything that can boost him 10% and lift him when he’s down will be good for Cov. The best dribbler in France remember….

Now get that song on the terraces for him and stick one up those flying rats Sunday 🩵

I can think of 2 tunes where the words ryhme with the proper pronounciation 'Yann Bo' in the chorus. :ROFLMAO:

"Hi Ho Silver Lining" first released as a single in March 1967 by English band the Attack, then a few days later by Jeff Beck.

"Heigh-Ho" (also known as "The Dwarfs' Marching Song") from Disney's 1937 film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

I'm not sure lyrics to the 2nd possibility would be much appreciated by Yann but Hi Ho silver lining has possibilities.

Boro have only just signed him for £10m rising to 20. They'd ask for silly money in Jan, it's a non starter.

Gyokeres wages make that a no go. Along with the fact he wouldn't be interested. And we couldn't pay the transfer fee.

The inbred in Aston sing hi ho silver lining. I think the ABBA one is a cracker and somewhat original and has that bit. I think he’ll like. If any influential people can come up with something before Sunday and let me know, I’ll get the seal of approval 😉 but honestly, I think ChatGPT might be the winner
