Didn't they sack their manager halfway through the season?
 
Their home kit was also a deviation from their traditional colours

Villa last season, 2 draws 2 defeats 0 goals. They finished 4th, similar start for them this season. A bigger more established club yes but confident we'll soon pull this around and climb up that league.

The last game they played in the Championship the prior season was a 4-0 win (like us)

That win of course was against us

And 2 of our first 3 are arguably the hardest 2 fixtures anyone can face in Arsenal and Man City away

They sacked Nigel Adkins for Mauricio Pochettino and everyone thought it was a disgraceful decision at the time!

Adkins never managed in the Premier League again after that season and Poch was in a Champions League final by the end of the decade
