I’m sure that our in position in Jan will inform our window.

If we look doomed then we know our existing strikers are more than good enough to play in the championship …. If we look like we could stay up but need more goals than are forwards are providing then I would not rule out some trading of players.

English goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale could be a January signing for Coventry City as he prepares to leave Southampton. Sources have revealed to Football Insider that Ramsdale is set to leave in January, with several Premier League clubs including West Ham, Leeds United and Newcastle United interested in his services. Ramsdale is not part of Tonda Eckert's plans at Southampton, although the Saints boss stated his expectation is that Ramsdale remains a Southampton player.
 
I’d expect all clubs to be doing this. In life you have a Plan A which is what you hope / expect to happen but need contingencies. All this kind of thing does is throw up options down the line whereby if the powers that B think pursuing the purchase can put the club in a better position, they are ready to act.

Given we don’t know what league will be in or how multiple scenarios will play out with the existing strikers, I’m glad to hear we’re being proactive, I bet Brighton for instance have a long list they are monitoring.
