Small but important change in midfield from last season’s 4-2-3-1 to 4-3-3 (or 4-3-2-1, depending how you see the wide men)

Thought it made us look more solid and provided more cover in front of the back 4.

Helps Grimes, and will work well with Hamer (and less importantly Torp and Eccles)

Suits Rudoni less well.

Will be interesting to see whether that is our go to against the top teams or whether we go for the more predictable 5-4-1

You can certainly see that we have added mobility and physicality to the team.

It was noticeable how quickly Caleb and Loum got into the box when we were counter attacking and how quickly both pressed the ball when we were out of possession.

Amenda at the back looks so composed and physically strong , maybe lacks true top end pace, but a really good player.

All the new signings seemed to be buying into the “team” mentality too.

Amenda is my new favourite player
Like a Christmas present come early

We defend in a 4-4-2 even with Onyeka defending alongside Haji. However, it fluid because at times it wasn’t clear who the AM actually was between Onyeka and Yirenkyi.

That’ll probably be our team v Arsenal.

Yeah, think it will be the starting team. As I saw it, was Grimes at 6 and two 8s, Onyeka (left) and Yirenkyi (right). Changed to 4-2-3-1 after sub, with Hamer at 10, Onyeka 8, Grimes 6.
