Parade Route (9 Viewers)

Starting on Holbrook way is ridiculous, theres not even any pavements

The streets of Coundon wont be wide enough pavement wise with the millions of cycle lanes now added in, and ending the parade over a mile from the destination is mental.

Stoke, Wyken Longford etc always been a hotbed of CCFC support and dont even get anything
Oh no. I've just sold my house on Barker Butts Lane and moved to Wyken to be in amongst the hottest bed of CCFC support.

I'm a tad confused.

I think we need more info.

Does seem daft to have the players at Hearsall Common 1pm and the promotion party at the Memorial Park at the same time, without the players

Only logical thinking is that the parade ends at Hearsall Common and then they team bus the players in a coach to the Memorial Park.

Because if it's the parade bus, it's still the parade

I would think 99.9% of City fans will want to see the parade with the players and the trophy.

Waiting for more info, because it does seem a little odd at the moment
Simples. The team bus can go straight through Earlsdon past the Old Clarence (Or Port O' Call when I used to drink in there) and the City Arms.

Might get Ephron Mason Clarkes name tattooed on my nob to celebrate. Or more likely just EMC. Not even sure about the capitals
Depends if you want to make it bigger or smaller when it's on show?
Do you want a FB page setting up and a go fund me?

Really strange route, have to say that.

Its obvious that route wont get changed now but some natural parts of the City for the parade not being included as mentioned by a few on here already.

All very odd and a bit ‘2026’ this not taking the parade into the heart of the city. The city centre needs all the help it can get financially but instead they take it on a route seemingly with narrow pavements and limited standing room.
I’m sure we’ll work out a spot to pay tribute to this fantastic achievement but CV1 would have been rocking and rolling with the crowds. After all, this is the hub of our transport network. Pool meadow, Coventry railway station etc 🤷‍♂️

Agree, all them restaurants in Broadgate are going to miss out on bookings, having a meal while you watch the parade.

Why would they not just go over the bridge by the farmhouse and down beechwood?
Do you know Cov?

Why in heavens name would you go to The Farmhouse and down Beechwood Avenue or even down the A45 to the MP from HC??

The common is next to Earlsdon Avenue North leading into Earlsdon Avenue South and the Memorial Park is at the end of the road.

But then what do I know, I'm just a fucking old doughbag.

Because they are clearly going to end the parade in the car park at HC - meaning the only option from there is down Beechwood Av

I think they are having a hard stop to the parade at HC. Perhaps the players need a quick break somewhere before heading into the park, and to meet up with their families etc. If the buses go down Earlsdon Avenue South to the Park, it will extend the parade and the bus will crawl along the road. I'm in two minds about the park but I don't want to have FOMO so will almost certainly go

Earlsdon Festival means the route you’ve suggested isn’t viable.

I just think they’ll go up to the A45 as it keeps it away from residential areas after the official end of the parade. If they don’t want people out at that point then it makes the most sense.

It wasn't a problem when the parade went through Broadgate celebrating the trophy win at Wembley. 🤔
Lots of semi finals took place at Hillsborough without incident as well. Doesn't mean the place was safe though.

1967 it was Highfield Road to Broadgate. 1987 I think it was Walsgrave into City Centre.

At least this one is hitting different areas. As other people have said they can’t go down every street. Also Hearsall Common and the Memorial Park can accommodate more people than Broadgate.

So you're saying Broadgate's not safe. 🤔
