Parade Route (21 Viewers)

It will be a fun and very lively day with people inevitably turning up at CBS, parking close to all the routes and parking by Hearsall Common as people try and then drive to the Memorial Park. Organisation needs to be top notch. Like the old Cov Carnival days.
I suspect 100k+ will line route and £50k arriving at concert and plenty of all day drinking opportunities in pubs close to the route.
The Holyhead, The Hearsall/ Craven Street will also do some good trade.

Starting on Holbrook way is ridiculous, theres not even any pavements

The streets of Coundon wont be wide enough pavement wise with the millions of cycle lanes now added in, and ending the parade over a mile from the destination is mental.

Stoke, Wyken Longford etc always been a hotbed of CCFC support and dont even get anything
Same with Willenhall Cheylesmore and Whitley this could only be organised by the Council couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery

Yeah, my worry too.

I would think every single person there will be waiting for the team to show
From the official:
"From here, the public section of the Parade reaches its conclusion when it arrives at Hearsall Common. The players and staff will then travel to the War Memorial park to continue the celebrations at 4pm."

Just me or is it a bit shit?

Feels silly to complain considering how buzzing we all are but not going anywhere near the city centre is a shambles

Would have been 1987 style vibes, whoever planned this route has had a mare

Agree I just can't for the life of me think why it's not going through Broadgate.

Oh wait I don't suppose the council had anything to do with it though do we. 🤬

I guess the rationale behind it not starting at the CBS is that they cannot feasibly close the A444 and/or don't want crowds all over it.

Don't seem to be a problem on match days.

Looking at the route again, I’d fully expect the coach to head to the A45 after Hearsall Common and then round to Kenilworth Road to get to the park.

Perfect, stand in the front garden and watch them roll past the house.

Make sure you have a few bin bags available to pick all the litter up they're going to throw in you garden, and a few poo bags might help. 🤣

The parade bus isn't due at Hearsall Common until 4pm. Guess the players will then get shuttled to the WM Park by about 5.30-6pm for the finale of that.

Just hope there is plenty going and a decent line up on at WM Park, or it could be a bit boring until that point.

If they put their foot down they can be there by quarter past one easily

Avoiding the city centre is a little bizarre one must admit.

I saw a comment online saying it was possibly to do with what happened at Liverpool’s parade in their city centre last year. Who knows. Very different centres obviously. I’d imagine the police are very careful/over cautious about the risks at these sorts of events these days though

That's the long way round, at the end of Hearsall Common, Canley Road and then turn on to Beachwood Avenue go past Hearsall golf course, brings you out onto the Kenilworth Road, entrance to Memorial Park, that's where the park and ride is.

I also unfortunately guessed this may be a reason for the decision to not have it in the city centre.
Seems the obvious location to have a parade, but I guess a longer route with less people congregated is probably safer.

Is the council building still there or did they let the UNI have it, so round to those new blocks they built over at the station?

I presume you mean the Council Building they used to celebrate the FA Cup win in 87.

Went past it last week it has been knocked down, yes the university are building on it, the UNI are building everywhere.

I genuinely couldn't think of anything I would be less interested in attending other than a Harry Styles Concert

Tbh Memorial will be pointless.

Players not there till what, probably 5 with delays. Its probably best to pitch up at a pub like the holyhead

1: make your way to a location of the route

Or

2. Buy a ticket for the festival which includes the players at 4pm

or

3: Moan
