I think it was banned because then DJ Mike Read (of Saturday Superstore and then UKIP fame) complained about it.

Misheard lyrics are called "mondegreens". Long story, but something like, a song (or poem) had the words "laid him on the green." This was interpreted by many as Lady Mondegreen.

Anyway, one popular misheard lyric is the Jimi Hendrix track, "Purple Haze". The lyrics are..."' 'scuse me, while I kiss the sky". They're often misheard as " 'scuse me, while I kiss this guy"!

In the Netherlands they’re called Mama Appelsaps after the start of Michael Jackson’s Wanna Be Startin Something that sounds like that meaning “Mama Apple Juice”

I coach u16s and they have a Cup Final that afternoon. It kicks off at 3pm in Stockton, near Southam. I've coached them for 10 years and it's our final season together. It's tearing me apart making the decision, but as not all of the lads/parents are Cov fans, I feel I have a duty to be there.

I asked the league to consider moving it but they responded with some bollocks about where to draw the line - they didnt move fixtures for the League Cup Final, Man City vs Arsenal, so won't be moving the u16s Cup Final. They clearly just don't get it.
