I quite enjoyed it, but weirdly, it started off really, really well and then changed direction and became a bit by numbers by the end.
All a bit melodramatic as the plot wore on.

Watching Tetris, black comedy / drama film on the race to get licensing rights for the video game from Soviet Russia, starring Taron Egerton & Toby Jones, stellar performance by Roger Allam in a fat suit as Rupert Maxwell.

I agree, it was all going well until they got to the groom to be parents house and then it just became dull and cliched.
The critics have generally been a lot kinder to it, than the public.

No, had a quick look it's not really on the same subject even though video/arcade games are central to the theme of both films but if it pops up on a streaming platform I'm subscribed to I'll maybe give it a go.

Loved King of Kong! One of my faves.
Also really enjoyed ‘Beyond the Mat’ from about that time. A behind the scenes doc about pro and amateur wrestling.
I’ve heard tale of this which I really fancy…

I’m surprised how much the story stuck with me. It must be 20 years since I saw it. The hapless Steve Wiebe, the evil Billy Mitchell and his incredible hair and hot sauce!
I think this was the film that made me think that the subject matter of a good documentary is meaningless. A ripping yarn is still a ripping yarn!

I'm in our dining room watching my new favourite thing on our projector. On ITVX there is something called Space Live, which is a live feed of earth from a satellite. Been watching for two hours. Fascinating.

There's a shit ton of stuff on the NASA website if you like this kind of stuff and I think they have a streaming app as well. Potentially the Artemis launch this week as well.

You could tell they were more relaxed this week. Nerves must have been off the scale last week since the entire cast is very inexperienced and they had a huge amount of press attention.
The pub one and the time sketch were highlights for me, and weekend update of course.

Watched a couple of " no brain " required comedy horrors over the weekend :
Cold Storage.
This was great fun, a young man and woman, work the night shift in an out of the way 24hr storage unit, where the US government have stored and forgotten about a deadly alien virus, stored in a secret lab in the basement. It escapes and they battle to stop it escaping from the facility and out into the rest of the world.
Proper comedy splat fest, with a great cast of mixed British and American actors - Liam Neeson, Vanessa Redgrave. Joe Keery ( Steve Harrington from Stranger Things and Arron Heffernan ( Ashley from Brassic ).
One you could watch with the kids too, as although it`s violent, it`s all exploding heads for comedy effect.

Rachael McAdams, plays the office geek for a big company, who is overlooked and under appreciated by her arrogant young boss, Dylan O`Brien.
McAdams hobby outside of work, is training as a " survivalist " for entry onto an American survivalist game show.
En route to a conference, the jet that McAdams and her boss are travelling on, is hit by lighting, causing it to crash into the sea.
They`re the only two survivors and end up marooned on a tropical island, where McAdams survival skills come to the fore and the tables are turned, as her boss is reliant on her to keep them alive.
Mc Adams goes full Colonel Kurtz, going full on native, relishing the chance to live the life she`s always dreamt of as a survivalist and does her level best to make sure that they remain on the island forever.
It`s " okay ", but gets a bit daft, as McAdams unravels, becoming more and more unhinged and the chemistry between her and O`Brien doesn`t really work.

I was also wondering why George Fouracres wasn't featured as much, he's probably the best on it.
Thought it was a mixed bag imo. I did like the Pub sketch though, and now the song is back in my head

Watched two seasons of "Black Summer" on Netflix which is a apocalyptic drama. Really enjoyed it - very tense, very gritty. Basically all the things I enjoyed about Walking Dead before it lost me completely.
Was soft cancelled after two seasons but would recommend if you're into that genre.

All a bit daft…and I didn’t like any of the characters. If that’s important.
