Agony this.

Somehow with our recent run and lack of goals we are still second. Not sure how much longer we can hold on.

Hoping this International break will be a blessing in disguise. Next up, Millwall at home on Good Friday. A strong chance both Morris and Mcgree wont be available due to travelling back from the US and Australia and Hackney likely to still be out - dismantles our midfield.

Feels must win. Ipswich have a tricky run in.

Still id rather be in this position that the depressing mid table places.

It's one of them where the break could act as a bit of a catalyst, and get you recalibrated for final run-in. But as you say, far from ideal with travel and players coming back, etc. What I would say, it is good you have Millwall and Ipswich to play, in your own hands to a degree (appreciate Ipswich have the game in hand).

I still think there will be a couple of twist and turns at all ends of the table yet, 7/8 games is not nothing.

Cov just need to keep being professional in these games, I think Derby would even take a draw on the Friday and Hull similar, but I want us to go for the throat now and get it done.

If you beat Millwall you’ll get a similar injection of belief that we got after beating you & will be fine

Nobody wants to grab the bull by the horns and join us in the PL.

Important to keep in mind that your record against the better sides in the league is actually pretty good and you’re creating plenty of chances still. The issue I see is that Millwall will set up similar to how they did at Ipswich which is your Achilles heel and they have nobody out on international duty.

Either way, autos will not be decided in that game alone and even if you fall out of the top 2 on Good Friday you have enough good fixtures to claw it back.

I think that's the way you have to look at it. Same when we were top and teams were gaining points on us, but we stayed in 1st place

The fact that Boro are still second even after dropping quite a few points, could be quite telling. One statement win and they could be flying again

They're the best team in the league of course they won't feed us all delicious crumble.

Next up is Millwall at home and they still have to play Swansea, Ipswich and Wrexham away.

They should win their home games but that’s been the case for their last 4 and they’ve failed to win since.

My prediction is that Millwall will turn them over and they’ll go to Portman Road needing a win to stay in the hunt for 2nd. I’ve said all season that I reckon it’ll be us and Ipswich who’ll go up but Boro would be preferable imo.

Boro playing Newcastle, Sunderland and Millwall at West Ham would be carnage for the league. That’s who I want to go up.

Pompey could end up keeping Leicester up, they look absolutely rancid. Have to hope Oxford can continue their improved form.

IIRC they have John Swift who rejected a pay cut to move to us a few summers ago. Another now probably regretting his choice.

Let's be honest, it'll be kicking the can down the road. If Leicester don't go down this year I wouldn't be shocked if they go down next season.

You have an owner who's refusing to put anymore money in while being completely unwilling to let go of the club - an all too familiar story and a pretty unhealthy mix.

One that more often than not ends with a club being relegated.

His core focus regardless of whether they stay up or not will be to drive down their wage bill and generating whatever fees he can to plug the ever growing black hole that is their finances.

Which means further sales, and at best frees and loans to fill the places of those which have been moved on.

I had Pompey down to give Ipswich a real test in their rescheduled fixture but not now. I think Pompey will go.

This international break could really throw the cat amongst it, players will come back injured, jet lagged and with those Friday games, could be really interesting. Boro's midfield will be all over the show and then with the quick follow up of games on the Monday, ugh... I can see why Frank is so unimpressed.

No idea, it bugs me when any politician whatever their place on the political landscape start hawking around football clubs when it comes to voting season

I hope we steer well clear, at a time when everyone at the club is feeling positive and singing from the same hymn sheet it would feel like an unnecessarily divisive thing to go and do
