Fully expect team that started agains Bristol
The great thing is there should be no fatigue
Worked out perfectly for us last night in terms of players legs
Yeah, they still had them all, despite us playing the normally very physical Preston.

One game doesn’t make a run. Even with that result, which was away from home against an admittedly poor team but one which is desperate for points, they have got 14 points from the last 6 games which is second only to us and Millwall.

I think we underestimate them at our peril.
not the hardest run to be fair though

Id like to see KKH, Esse and Torp given the start.

But FL will not overthink it and bring in Wright for Simms and Eccles, Torp or Esse for BTA. Just want 3 pts no injuries, do that and i don't care what the others do.

Really, really gutted that long-standing plans mean I can't make this one. There's no reason to be anything but supremely confident, I have no doubt that it'll be another massive win in this unforgettable season and another atmosphere to remember!

No excuses. I skipped out of my own wedding reception for City v Southampton.
My reward was an Ian Wallace hat trick

They are a footballing side. This won't be easy as they are brimming with confidence and see this as a statement opportunity and galvanize their push into the playoff's. So Wright comes back in all fresh. Torp starts in place of Asante.
7 in a row has not been done before, so sods law says it won't become a reality. A lot depends on how we start and get on the front foot quickly and not allow them space on the ball. I think we can win and make a bit of history, but this one does give me a nagging in the back of my head. A 0-1 defeat could easily happen. They are really up for it given their run and we might too easily think we are too safe and strong to be hurt by anyone. Think Boro v Charlton. It bothers me that our goals the other night were all rather fortuitous tbf given all our dominance but there was a slightly melancholy attitude throughout the game. Knowing any loss will not really hurt us gives me a sense of caution, but a win will almost certainly lift us to new heights with the finish line in clear sight. So Lampard must ensure they are fired up.

Better to be lucky than good at this stage of the season

Obviously it will be tough as they are in good nick but those points came against QPR, Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton, West Brom, Leicester and Watford. I'm not sure there could be a much easier run of opponents than that.

True but there are few really easy games in this division, apart from Sheffield Wednesday. Look at our result against QPR, Oxford’s improvement and Middlesbrough’s recent results against lowly teams.

Southampton - like Ipswich - have a good team which made a poor start to the season but is now on the rise. They will be full of confidence and are pushing hard for the playoffs, which I think they will make and I quite fancy them to win.

Can we beat them? Absolutely we can (I have predicted 2-1) but it is a game we could very easily lose or draw, especially if we concede first.

They are a decent side hampered by an awful start , they have ex prem players but if we apply ourselves as we did on Wednesday we'll be too good for them.

Yeah. Feel the same

Would be happy with a draw. Very hard ask to win 7 games in a row and a point is another point towards promotion. Would also keep us unbeaten too.

I am going for 1-1, because I can see we could easily lose this one.

FL will know we aren't going to win every game and may well slip up in the run in.

A win would be absolutely brilliant.

I do think it will be an entertaining game, whatever the score.

i really don't, it's another game where if we play anywhere near our best we win as we are a much better team than them.

I think we will keep the momentum going from Wednesday night and roll these over. It will undoubtably be a tougher game than Preston, but we are playing with a confidence & professionalism I don't think anyone in the league can handle when we are at home. I'm going for a 3-1 win, Haji brace & Onyeka with a screamer.

I honestly don't think Southampton are much of a threat.

Although they are currently unbeaten for the last 9 games, the only team they have faced over this period that are currently in the top half of the table is Watford. Over the last 5 games they haven't played anyone higher that 17th at present.

If you look at their results as a whole, the vast majority of their wins have been against teams in the bottom half of the table which accounts for 11 out of their 14 wins, meaning that, of the 16 games they have played against top half oppositions, they have only won 3.

They are even worse the higher up the table you go with them having yet to beat a team in the current top 5 this season. The only time they have won a game this season against any team in the current top 6 was against Wrexham on the opening day of the season.

They also look more vulnerable on the road too with them having dropped points against Pompey and West Brom away in their current unbeaten run.

Plus, we owe them one for saying mean things about Super-Frank at their place and getting us fined.

I think he had his once in every five year screamer on Wednesday.

A lot of players who look better on paper than in reality at Southampton. Scienza was a good signing but is injured, don't really rate their other big summer signings. Azaz is a flat-track bully who i've never been impressed by. Fellows has been absolute cat piss, crazy to think WBA fans thought they had a Prem player there, lucky to get what they got.

Sounds like Scienza started having a wank on the pitch in their last game...

On Scienza, Eckert said: "Let's see. We need to assess over the next few days. It was his groin that he was touching at the very moment.
Championship getting fruity this year mate..Scienza tugging one off, Furlong sticking his finger in EMC ass a while back!

Anyway City 3-0 with Haji scoring 3, Kitch jumping in the away end when the 3rd goal goes in an nuts a few saints fans and their manager then has a nervous breakdown

EMC getting pulled off at Birmingham too. Very steamy stuff indeed.
