Good use of ‘stodge’ I’d like to think he’d come to us leaner than he is. Someone needs to get into his head and tell him he could have a longer career if he looks after himself.

Maybe he’d rather not?

Gudmundsson £11m from Lille, Stach £20m from Hoffenheim. Both been brilliant for Leeds this season, they are the sort of signings I’d expect us to make.

That's,a distinct possibility, which makes fawning over him look even more ridiculous

He’s still far more talented than pretty much all our squad so I get it, but he probably just wants to enjoy his life, earn a good wedge then retire when it finishes. Rather than live like a saint for an extra couple of years. He must be on what? £40/wk for three years? He’s a millionaire already.

In all seriousness, would he even pass a medical? Looks like he's seriously let himself go. Massive shame really as his talent is top.

You lot need to take your heads for a wobble and stop saying that Hamer has zero fitness and has a poor diet when you have no idea what he eats a day. He’s played 6 games less than the next two behind him on the assist list and he’s still top.
R9 used to be massive and still be faster than everybody and score more than everybody and still one of the best players if not the best of his time. That was R9’s frame.

Were on the verge of the PL. No one on that list would be up to much in the top flight, let's be honest.

Look at our very own manager.... "Fat Frank". One of the all time greatest midfielders. Won almost everything in the game. Im not comparing Gus to Frank quality wise. But saying you cant play at the highest level whilst also having bad habits (Lamps smokes and was overweight most his career) is just simply not true!

Claiming that Lampard was overweight for most of his career is insane.

I assume he gained the nickname Fat Frank ironically then because of how skinny he was?

Whilst I dont think Frank was actually all that fat, I also dont think Hamer is either. Granted, neither have the physique of Cristiano Ronaldo, but theyre not exactly Akinfenwa

Unless he goes abroad now , I think it’s Sheff Utd for him .
No one seems to be interested in an aging, but talented ( looking overweight) player & our trajectory now is for a different type of player , to take us to another level in our forthcoming premiership seasons.

No! You overate him. Half our team will go on promotion. Not even Grimes will suit the premeier league. Torp has bags of ability and will get better, so too Rudoni, Saka, EMC, Rushworth, Thomas, Milan & Wright. Everyone else will be looking at a top end championship club like Sheff.Utd.

Torp will struggle due to the athleticism of the league. Technically he's capable, but he won't be able to keep up.

Lampard was not fat, it is a complete myth that was cooked up by WHU fans who viewed him as a product of nepotism and for some reason it stuck

Genuinely astonishes me he has ever been given the title

Has it or have we just brought in someone we are obliged to pay 4 times as much as we did for Torp?

I love him but it’s clear he’s been dropped cos we spent in his position.

He's been off it recently and looks to be struggling physically.
I've been hilighting his lack of physicality for ages and while he's clearly improved a lot some of the old issues have resurfaced as the seasons gone on

Maradona never had the right fit for a football player never held him back.
So all this over weight bollox is exactly that.....
Then again he wouldn't have got in this team....
