Mentioned an upcoming holiday to Barcelona in the other thread. The thing that makes me happy is doing research. Planning our days, finding restaurants, bars, cafes and live music. The kind of stuff that really makes you excited for the trip!

Cadburys star bars ..I haven’t had one for at least 20 years and my wife just got one as part of her meal deal … I forgot how good they were
Thanks to you I bought a pack of 4 after we played Charlton and despite the fact I have to watch my sugar intake they didn't survive past the Monday. Bought a proper sized one after Preston game & it was gone before we got back to the car.

I had to buy another 4 pack yesterday because Morrisons don't have a star bar duo as part of their meal deal, hopefully this time they will last more than 2 days 🤔😂

Over There
Good neighbours (don't start with the shit Aussie soap puns...).
I'm building a campervan at the mo, and took out the van's bulkhead yesterday and left it out for the tatters (CBA to weigh it in for a few quid).
They came this morning, ripped the big old cab liner off it and legged it with the steel...
Tom over the road noticed and offered to take it to the tip for me. How nice is that?

It sounds like Tom was sick of the scruffy twat across the road expecting everyone to clear his crap for him.

I can't wait for this day to come, unless I drop down dead in the office from stress before I get there!

You owe it to yourself to go on the sick, and find something less stressful. Fuck the job, what happens when you work yourself into an early grave? You'll be replaced within a day and forgotten by the end of the month, just like the rest of us.

My theory on phoning in sick over the years has changed a lot , when I was younger I'd always go in unless it was sickness and diarrhoea . Colds, chest infections, knackered back did more harm to myself and essentially you are just a number. If I feel a bit ropey I'll have a day off

I'm enjoying playing football again. Joined the local over 35s over here and about to head out for a Friday evening kick about/training.
Was seriously thinking of given walking football ago Im just worried as i have a metal plate in my left leg, three pins through my ankle and a skin graft . I reckon one accidental tackle or just going over on it would be too dangerous,

Yeah sounds like a tough one. No idea how the tacking goes at walking football etc.

Ultimately you know your body the best.

Maybe go along to a session and just dip out if it's not feeling right.
