I was on the kop for that game, quite close to the Forset fans.

For some reason, they had this thing where whenever anything exciting happened, they'd jiggle (it's the only way I can think to describe it) their arms in the air and shout, 'it's enough to make your arms go wooo-oooooo-oooo!' It amused me.

Anyway, my first game was a terrible 0-0 against Charlton late in the 87-88 season. The pitch was a sandpit.

Quite possibly. It would explain why we had two penalty takers, and it was at a time when Killer started fluffing them more often than scoring.

What a game. I posted about that game the other day. I was corrected. It happened the day, after boxing day. I was living a lie for 40/50 yrs

My dad took me to 2 very close together and I always have to check which was first but its easy as I know it was Swindon Towns only season in the Prem. So I just check what season they were in it and check our results for that season. It was a 1-1 draw at home to Swindon and a 1-0 win at home to Ipswich.
Google tells me the Swindon game was almost exactly a month before, 3rd Jan 1994.

Fairly sure it was 1972 v Ipswitch, 'cause we had a penalty and I recall my dad saying "bone head" Blockley when we scored. Brought a City book a few years ago which typically I've lost and I'm pretty sure that game was on the front cover, or at least a featured photograph inside somewhere.

15th October 1997 against Everton. My family and I had just moved back from the USA, I knew absolutely nothing about football. Our neighbours had season tickets in corporate and couldn't make the match, so offered their tickets to my dad and me.

Hard to believe everything in my life that probably wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for our neighbours at the time offering their tickets.
