It's extremely unlikely that we win every remaining home game. We will need to win at least some away games and tomorrow is one of the better opportunities to do that. West Brom not far away either is another one, but there's a lot of very tricky away fixtures in the form of Hull, Sheff Utd, Watford etc.
We’ve only lost to Ipswich ? All the ones left are vey winnable, and won’t be many harder than the milwall game ?

Right, but you're talking about winning 100% of our home games from that point on. That's not realistic.

People say that refs decisions even out but I really think we have had quite few more decisions go against us penalty wise which has made a difference

I think really some fans are projecting their own feelings about gurney to justify lampard being rude/ short in recent interviews

Gurney is fine

He and Adam Dent frequently used to act like children in their phone in back in the day. They even used to get Juggy and “Ian from Shipton” as the expert fans on their show.

Eakin is a professional sports journalist and Gurney isn’t - it shows

Our home forms outstanding, no one is fretting about our home form, but it's unlikely to be enough on its own.

If we don't sort out our away form we could well miss out
27 points puts us on 85, away 1 win 2 draws= 90 points, job done, don’t know what all the panickings about 😂

As good as our home form is I'd be amazed if we win all 9 games.
And even though I think 90 will be enough for 2nd place there are no guarantees.

To be fair mate, Robins was never media savvy and always come across as dour - He used to say some strange things in his pressers too
Sure but i wnat more than " thats football " " we will work on it "

Otherwise why bother doing the interviews at all

It's not just recent interviews; he's always been like that after we've lost, it's not something new.

He once had a phone in back in the day discussing if Marlon Devonish could sign for the club as he was a quick Olympic sprinter and our forwards had no pace. To be fair to Dent even he seemed bewildered by the fact it became a serious discussion.

it will become a self fulfilling prophecy if we aren’t careful. Need to believe
It won't, because we don't have that much agency.

We have to hope that the management staff have the tactical nous and man management skills to get the form back to a point where we can stay ahead of rivals.

Tighten up away from home and add some athleticism into the midfield, and we should be ok.

"In your opinion" Rob Gurney has been a sports journalist, presenter, going back to the Mercia Sound days.

He doesnt elaborate on anything , may aswell not bother doing the interview in fairness .

I get it , we lost
He expands a lot more in these feature interviews he does with other media sources to be fair. Just probably doesn't respect Gurney either asking the bleeding obvious or telling him outright he's wrong.

That said...I'm pleased he was just outright told 'what were you thinking with that midfield' though.

Exactly! He started on commercial radio and learnt all he knew from Linnell. Boy it shows

I kind of hope gurney presses him further should we lose tomorrow and weve set up exactly the same and continue to look ridiculously open

There's ways of asking that question a bit more tactfully that would get more out of him on that front.

It's not moaning. Our lead has been massively reduced and we're in poor form. Self fulfilling prophecy has nothing to do with it.

If we don't sort our away form out we could miss out on the autos, that's a fact.
Our form isn't that bad, we've won 2 of our last 3, that's the form we want for the rest of the season.

They're literally mandated by the EFL to do them, otherwise they wouldn't.

How do people not get this lol
We know , but supporters like to hear what they have to say after matches , usually more so after playing crap and being beaten

So why are you asking why they bother?

The main thing is that there is clearly a policy of protecting information within the club, whether that's about transfers, injuries or tactics.

Lampard is never going to talk in any detail about tactics to the media when it could give opposition an advantage.
