A) who says Valencia will pay more? Quite a few sources saying theyre skint.

B) hes said his preference is to stay in England.

C) just because (if) he plays for Coventry, why does that mean he has to live in Coventry? Im assuming hes got a nice place in London, nothing stopping him from staying there? And if its a toss up between London and Valencia (not Coventry and Valencia) its a different matter.

D) weather being better is the only valid point you make, but again, hes already said his preference is to stay in England so clearly weather isnt on his list of priorities.

Utter nonsense.

Almost everyone on this forum could move to Spain tomorrow but they don’t …. They don’t because of family, friends, kids in school, language challenges etc etc …

He might move to Valencia but the idea that it’s almost a given and the same decision we would all make is clearly wrong.

Where is the evidence that Valencia have actually made a bid? Also where is the evidence they can offer more money? Their finances have also been discussed.

People say things like this as though he would be living in Stoke Aldermoor.

The gentle Warwickshire countryside is amongst the most beautiful in the world. That’s where he would be living.
His opinion on the aesthetics of the Lower precinct wouldn’t come into it

I think people still view Valencia as the early 00s Valencia that we were seeing regularly on our TV screens in the latter stages on the Champions League.

Valencia as a city is a great place to live and it has a great city beach. I just hope the club have a plan B for another CM player.

Valencia themselves saw themselves as that as well which is why a few years of failing to qualify for the Champions League plus other strange financial decisions have left them teetering on the brink at times.

Thing is no one knows until any player has signed 100% where they will end up but there's been no new credible sources saying Valencia have even made a bid for him, the credible sources last reporting was he was most likely to come here and the club must think they are are close to signing a midfielder as otherwise they wouldn't have let Andrews leave as yes Andrews is way down on the depth chart but they would still need him of there was to be no new midfielder.

Recently refinanced so doubt if they will go into administration or whatever the equivalent is in La Liga
Great, so basically they have consolidated all their debts into 1.

They just restructured their debts and kicked the manger issue slightly down the road. They now owe 500m to someone else, that is all.

They still are in massive trouble

I'm was talking about the city I have no idea if he is going there. I think if he was signing for us he would have signed by now .
why would he have signed by now? what are you basing this on? transfers can being really quick or they can drag on

it can take time to sign players that their clubs can command a good fee for and and we are not the only other option than the dole for

Don't know who else was in for him at the time, but going back, Juninho somehow plumped for the smog of Middlesbrough

Is his guy the messiah or something? I know we want a CM but why we pinning all our hopes on this guy? 🤣 there’s 100s of CMs out there

Well hes definitely the type of player many of us think we need so hopefully, if it does fall through, we've got a plan B that we can get over the line quickly.

I don't claim to be an expert but I could reverse that question and say why hasn't he signed. We got the other two players in quickly on loan.

Most SBT have seen less of him play than they are prepared to admit …

If you did a poll on who had seen him play a full 90 mins on more than 5 occasions you would have less than 5% who had.

He’s only played 90 mins for Brentford 4 times in the PL so I’d guess it’s less than that.

Because transfers can take different times also it is far easier to get players to agree to a 6 month loan with no option or obligation to buy than it is to get someone to agree to join either on a permanent basis or on loan with an option/obligation to buy.

But most of us watch city week in and week out and can see this is the type of player we're desperate for.
That the club seem to be trying to sign him would suggest Lampard agrees

I would prefer Hamer but that definitely ain't going to happen so I'd settle for this bloke. He's got premiership experience and dropping down a level . That's good enough for me whether I've seen him or not.

We all know we need a different more athletic and physical CM, my point s that we don’t know that he’s the one. We haven’t seen enough of him.

The highlights reels mean nothing …. I’ve seen players exit Cov with highlights vids pulled together by their agents that make them look much much better than we saw and totally ignore the players obvious weaknesses.

We haven't, granted, but we know we need one and I'd imagine the manager and his team have done a bit more than look at a hilight reel and he seems to be the player they want to bring in so I trust their judgement.

As I said in an earlier post, if this doesn't happen I hope there's a plan B that we can get over the line quickly

Of course and I’d be amazed if we are not talking to 2 or 3 CM’s to ensure we land one ….
