Maybe Bobby & Frank can do a short passing exercise in training. Ball boy will be needed.

Depends on what he means by work, but if he thinks more time on the training field with a small squad of players that have played a lot of minutes is the answer then I fear it'd have the opposite effect.
It just as much applies to work in the analysis department as it does to the training pitch.

I’m hoping it’s a loan with an option to buy....

Based on the summer '23 bunch, could be a chunk now with the rest conditional on promotion. Softens the blow if he's a bit sh*t and / or we blow it. Unlikely Brentford would agree to what you're hoping for if all the clubs rumoured to be after him actually have been.

I like what hes saying here , we need legs in midfield if we are to play expansive football

😂 enjoys a dive doesn’t he? Will be interesting to see how he gets on with our refs.

Tbf he's just exaggerating obvious fouls. Eccles and Lati have trademarked the barely getting touched flop that you'll never get a free kick in a million years for.

Looks strong fella in and out of possession, good running power. I hope it works for him here if he comes.

This will be the first time ever a player hasn't been signed in the exact order online fans want!!!.....

I personally see this as the sort of player that will get us over the line

We can all blame the back line but without proper midfield cover we will always concede .
The problem is if we want to continue with the 3-1-6, that one in the system has such a draining role.

Onyeka could be great for winning it back and moving it forwards and then sitting back

Joke of a window. 3 wingers and a CM isnt enough. We need at least 5 more incoming or the seasons a bust.
Its funny because a lot of the anti signing brigade were laughing at the prospect of a fair few signings coming in and said we only needed 1 or 2.

I said 4+ were needed and clearly Frank agrees.

There were a few saying we'd only need 3 or 4 new first team players in the PL.

If onyeka comes in, I’d like to see him alongside torp and grimes in a midfield 3 away from home. Think it could make us a lot less vulnerable defensively.
Totally agree. A double pivot would work wonders I think.

I’m hoping it’s a loan with an option to buy in case he turns out to be the bollocks. If it’s a permanent deal then that’s a lot of money to spend on two players who we wouldn’t be sure about starting in the PL next season.
wouldn't we just resell them but on Prem money? win-win

Onkeyka Grimes
Torp/Rudoni

BTA and Eccles solid options as cover.

Still prefer Torp further forward, certainly not working playing next to Grimes at the minute.

the issue is torp isn't playing next to grimes

he's so far forward in possession that he's almost a 2nd 10 and that causes the large gaps in midfield that teams have been able to run through with ease

early in the season his in possession position was much deeper

Agree, Evo.

Could be the one player who reenergises our season.

Really excited.....so, he better well come.

I usually wait until the ink is dry, but am already picturing him in the middle next to Grimes.
