Wow!Looks like Boro are signing Adam Armstrong
Southampton captain isn’t he?Looks like Boro are signing Adam Armstrong
Looks like a stoned Josh Eccles. Pass.
His name isn’t a cake, he can GTFO.Looks like a stoned Josh Eccles. Pass.
He has less goals per minute than Wright and it's 10 games since he last scored. I know who I would prefer.Wow!
Not sure... he is a proven scorer at this level but needs a lot of shots to score. Would have to change their attack to suit him. Huge outlay for a player that has already shown he can't cut it in the PL too.Think that would be a great signing for them annoyingly. They make loads of chances, will suit his game perfectly.
How will they play all their playersAdam Armstrong to Boro
Sam Surridge to Ipswich
Blimey
GingerThat's a dodgy looking Spanish bloke. Check his teeth.
Agree on all points.Wrexham seem to be buying the right players, but at massively inflated prices (which is why I find them problematic).
Birmingham give no indication that they know what they are doing at all. It's all scattergun.
The frustrating thing is that neither are able to outspend their rivals due to success on the pitch, hence why I think they are both bad for competitiveness in football generally (and yes, I am well aware that there are plenty of other examples of clubs doing this).
Birmingham aren't "hovering around the playoffs" at all. Next year perhaps, but not this one.But are they buying duds? This Spanish guy seems decent considering Ajax want him, and say what you will about Wrexham but they’re hovering around the play off as are Birmingham, If they keep spending there’s a chance that they’ll eventually get it right. I’d also argue that both are a decent manager away from being right up there
According to fotmob he's underperforming his xG by 4 goals this season, not sure if that's missing big chances or his taking on lots and lots of low quality onesNot sure... he is a proven scorer at this level but needs a lot of shots to score. If i was southampton, I wouldn't be so quick toPortsmouth and Southampton have been charged by the FA for failing to control their players.
The KC that Southampton use will be looking to get another Ferrari after this.
That's what I'm thinking, could be a very unhappy camp and not much stability with all the chopping and changingHow will they play all their players
I think each breach from Sheffield United last season resulted in their fine being double the previous one.If i was southampton, I wouldn't be so quick tosnitchprovide evidence of "recommending the portsmouth players kindly retreat and have a splash of lemonade old boy"
Considering historical record will only need to go back a month, i doubt they'll get much of a reduction this time.
Apparently Armstrong's stats are high for missing Big Chances, but it could be that he works a lot of them himself when the average striker normally doesn't.According to fotmob he's underperforming his xG by 4 goals this season, not sure if that's missing big chances or his taking on lots and lots of low quality ones
He'll be Catalonian I guess. That's a dodgy looking Spanish bloke. Check his teeth.

I think he'll do ok at Boro. He's not someone I'd want us spending that money on but our strikers aren't our issue, whereas you guys they very much are. You're doing what you think you need to do to get promoted, whether it works who knows but at least you know the club is actually serious.Apparently Armstrong's stats are high for missing Big Chances, but it could be that he works a lot of them himself when the average striker normally doesn't.
Conversely if you look at the players who apparently miss the most Big Chances in the Prem, it's Watkins, Haaland and Salah, who aren't bad to have around in that league.
And the top striker who had missed the most Big Chances in the championship at this point last season was....Latte Lath for us. He did more than alright mind.

If Grimes came out and said that there would be riotsThis was their captain after the defeat at Oxford where they went behind after 4mins...

I don't think they'll be much for left next year. When does FFP/PSR kick in for them and Wrexham??
Maybe they'll offload Smodicz? How will they play all their players
Derby want him I readMaybe they'll offload Smodicz?
