It’s all about the environment for most players and seeing how Pompey play, it’s probably not the best environment for him. They wanted to be more possession based but pragmatism has kicked in for them when it wasn’t particularly working.

Having this player as a rotation option will add a lot, we need players who can see games out or offer something different when Plan A isn’t working.

Just to add to the whole 'Pompey fans are glad he's gone on their forum' - which I don't think is true, here's a selection of responses from Pompey mates, regulars at FP, have said to me (genuinely):

Hes done alright when hes come on, very lightweight though

could be really dangerous

What's peoples thoughts on this signing. Reels show some decent stuff but they're designed to do that. Does this shout panic or decent addition. Say it is a done deal which with Fabrizio it usually is and Esse joins do we think that will be it or can we expect more
