We're signing Pirlo? Hes getting on a bit but you never lose class. He'd be great in the middle with Grimes.

Excellent rotation option with Grimes imo.

I don’t think it’s baffling at all.

Frank clearly rates Wright more highly and in addition Wright has been attracting interest from other clubs and I’m sure Frank is keen to retain him until at least the summer.

Therefore it is only natural ( if a little harsh on Simms ) that Frank continues to be loyal to Wright.
Hardly logical, when it is costing us points. Wasn't logical in the play off finals,, either.

Doesn't make any sense, whatsoever.

Presumably we’ll be pushing for King to include a clause in any Piroe deal that if he doesn’t score immediately or be seen to be bullying centre halves he can go straight back.

They haven’t got Joe Edwards though who would play a big part in it I would say.
That source does only say we’ve held talks so nothing concrete yet. Wonder if a Sheff Utd or a Southampton could pay more and offer more playing time.

….and would they be able to offer a potential season in the PL next year if all goes well, probably not

I'm convinced those that want Piroe have never actually watched him play. Doesn't suit us whatsoever. Nowhere near mobile enough and offers very little outside of his shooting ability

i've watched him play and she's more mobile than that and is a great scorer at this level

don't think it will happen unless we sell Wright but he'd be a great replacement

There’s something in this. The kind of player fans will say is “lazy” for sure! Scores goals at this level though.

Leeds fans weren't massively keen, but I think in the end his goal scoring ability won them over.

Leeds fans defo not lovers of Piroe but I think they knew he’d be struggling to cut it in the prem. They also didn’t rate Bamford in recent years. Bottom line is that he won’t be perfect but he’d be a very good option in the short term for us if we can get him on loan no strings attached.

Doug will do everything on the quiet on the transfer of players. He doesn't seem to care for the announcement being high profile. I swear if he could sign a player and the 1st we knew was him walking onto the field he'd do it.

So i expect a lot is going on and a lot of players and agent have been spoken too. But the one thing im keeping in mind is if the deal isn't right for the club Doug will not move. He will chase and will try i have no doubt, but fir us its going to be easy to get frustrated. I cant see in any world that he will not try to get at least 3 in, if he doesn't it will not be for the lack if trying.

Just got to be patient and see who walks through the door.
