Would have him back in a heartbeat, would be the first player I’d sign if we went back up, but I’m talking with very Skyblue tinted glasses on.

I would highly doubt it will ever happen.

Be fun though wouldnt it 😜

Not really. He’s not good enough in the Premier League

I don't regularly watch Sheffield Utd but not sure he is the same player who left, still capable of match winning moments but often described as a luxury player from Sheffield Utd and not the all action box to box midfielder he was with us. For all the comments on his lifestyle and fitness I never felt that affected his performances with us and thought he had a great engine and always looked sharp, perhaps his lifestyle is starting to catch up with him.

He's not happy, that's all it is. Cov is his spiritual home so to speak and probably always will be. He had to take the money being offered for his family's security and you can't blame him, that ship though has now set sale. Frank will attract better players if we reach the promised land, on current form Gus isn't worth the outlay.

Gus looks like he is going through the motions up there and its a bit sad to watch to be honest. He looks like he is not enjoying football which takes away a lot of him as a player. Would i be worried if we got up and then signed him, NO. Would i he upset if we got up and didn't sign him, NO.

Hope he finds a club, finds his mojo because he is some player to watch when he plays with passion.

He had his chance to play for us and he decided that he didn’t want to.

That was entirely his choice and I respect his decision. However as far as I’m concerned you only get to say once that you don’t want to play for us.

We’re second choice for nobody

Doubt he has any motivation to play for them anymore, it's a dead end. He won't be there next season.

His spiritual home is anywhere that pays him the most.

He may have thought he’d stay in the prem if he had a good season. He did do well but for whatever reason no one was willing to pay the asking price

We need to move on from Hamer..we are almost above his level now. And hes one from the past and is past his best/peak imo.
We have moved on from Hamer. The money from him has done us good.

So far this season 15 games 1 goal 2 assists. Even our defenders have contributed more. We have 12 players that have scored at least as many goals as he has so far this season.
