Not really relevant for us
Every other game between teams in the top half that ends in a draw is a decent result for us. Each team has effectively dropped 2 points in the race to catch us. If we lose, teams only gain 1 point. Every game between now and the end of the season ends in a draw, we win the league 😉

How did he ever manage that with those plucky minnows? They'd only won the league 11 of 12 seasons prior to him lifting them from the abyss.
How many times have they won 16 in a row? If it's so easy why did Leverkusen win league and Dortmund bottle it on last day in last 3 years?

He's clearly doing a good job and better than most Bayern managers have in past. He's only one to have been offered a extension

But no it's just the money

But you know alot about rating managers. First you said lampard was shit

Even midweek you said he's a good run, bad run manager because we were losing

Yup. You know your managers.

This one is only banned on the balance of probability, no evidence. Really pleased he'll miss our game but this is a very dangerous road to go down and a slippery slope of justice. Racism definitely needs stamping out of the game as we saw with Kasey, but not sure how one word against another can be proven either way. It was also Hannibal which makes me even more untrusting of his word than I would normally be. However with this guy having previous for biting, I'm not sure I have much sympathy with him either way.
Think they had statements from a lip reader. I noticed Sky blanked his mouth off when showing the incident.

I’m interested in your thoughts on the tactical analysis posted on another thread. Mainly the one that focuses on how we get the ball forward quickly in a variety of ways through either ball carrying, balls over the top or quick sequences of passes.

As I recall you assumed it was either Kompany/Pep’s style or Big Sam style hoofing. For quite some time we’ve been making the point of somewhere in between that would be entertaining and effective. Looks like CCFC are doing it.

A way of playing that’s not reliant on having a side stacked with world class players as Kompany has too.

Where did I ever say it's either tiki taka or hoofball? Go find the post

I'll wait

In the meantime time I'll for the 100th time again say that I always have said all tactics have a place. Of course I love what cov are doing right now. Although I didn't hate what they did last year either when people were trying to put lampard down because I'm smart enough to know it takes time to perfect a tactic.

Anyway go find that post. Try not to divulge past DM confidence while your at it because you don't like losing an argument

How would you describe our current tactics?

Not sure the relevancy of that? I have never once said I have an issue with playing verticals or faster etc

You seem to have got it into your head I only like slow tempo tiki taka and I don't know how many times I have to say different

Actually if I think back it's when I refuse to declare that tiki taka is dead. And I still don't . Yes teams are playing different now but still think older tactics can work in certain situations.

A si have said before we had people say they hope cov never play 352 again and it doesn't work anymore and then we went on that run and everyone was like it's clearly the formation for us!

I'm not sure why you would think that I think cov should be playing differently?

Because it’s an interesting discussion point with someone who’s stood up for the tiki taka managers more than most (Guardiola, Kompany, Martin, ‘Enzo’) and dismissed criticism of their playing styles as preferring the long ball game instead.

It’s a simple enough question anyway: how would you describe this season’s tactics? I can sum it up in three words but interested in your thoughts.

I don't dismiss criticisms as hoofball. Maybe that helps your argument to say that but it ain't true.

And I'd say the facts are in my favour

Guardiola - on of the greats
Kompany - bundelsiga winner and now currently setting records
Enzo - won conference league and club world cup plus championshio with Leicester
Martin - won promotion but been shit recently no doubt

Where are the opposing managers that people love?

Edwards - promotion then relegation.
McKenna - double promotion then relegation
Dyche - keeps teams up or midtable. Went Everton and didn't change his style

My point has always been that people like to shit on the managers I stand up for but the managers in my list go on to the very top. That's undeniable. That doesn't mean I dislike Sean dyche. But no one is putting him down for me to need to stand up for him. Yes the tactics don't always work for struggling teams but it's not a certainty that they won't work so I have no issue with managers trying it and learning and improving it rather than switch to a limited style

I hope that makes sense now?

As for cov I'm still not sure what analysis you want

It's a 433
We use width of two wingers and full backs to get crosses in
Our CBS push up and become extra man in midfield while other one drops
Grimes dictates okay from just ahead of them and is always available to keeper or back 4 to get the ball
Keeper plays it out quickly be it to CB or up the pitch to strikers or wingers
It's a high line though not suicidal imo
We press high up pitch but once again not bielsa level
We build up in various ways be it passing our way up the pitch using triangles or with a ball over too to pscey front 4 to catch high lines out.

Just seen something about Edwards being stood down and Wolves wanting him?

He refused to turn up to work and told them to talk to him through his agent!
