How many chances does he get if he carries on ghosting through games?

I mean, he's 3rd top scorer in the division with 3 most goals per 90 mins so he retains his spot until the sh!t proper hits the fan.

He does a lot of decent work off the ball and defensively. Whilst we're still on a hot streak, you don't change a losing side.

If we lose 3-4 on the spin and he's not scoring, then that's the time to drop.

but surely, they are arbitrary figures, who decides what is a hard chance and what isn't?
See this is the root cause of your skepticism, you don’t understand how they are generated but briefly no, they are not arbitrary.

xG is based on the statistical likelihood of scoring based on the position on the pitch the shot was taken. A shot within a few yards of goal has a high xG, 0.7 maybe, you could still blaze it over but on average you’re more than likely to score than not.

Stoke won a game 1-0 with a shot with an xG of 0.01. It was from far out and wide, presumably a cross that drifted in. So yeah, in an individual games it just tells you how good the chances you created were but over the course of a season things will revert to the mean.

There is a bit of history there I think, unsure what though - They were absolutely peltering him at The CBS last season and he proper gave it back to them when we scored the last minute winner

Then again, this is the fanbase who spent years booing Aaron Ramsay for having the cheek and audacity to be crocked by their captain, so it could be anything

Here's a strange one on the subject of lifts......................... in Rugby Centre, there's a lift that only goes to the top floor of the carpark, but it has BRAILLE on the buttons!!!!! WTF?
The Braille is probably to let them know its a lift and not a traffic light

Either that or a narrow win / loss. That covers all possible outcomes right?
Nope! Game cancelled due to lightning strikes, terror attacks, flooding, deep fog, riots inside or outside stadium, lots of results that are neither 0-0 nor close nor a spanking!

Did anybody else here use the Paternoster lift in the GEC/Marconi site at Beeston. Such fun. :giggle:
