its an odd one, he played alot under frank, and captain didnt he??
Don’t think he’s played all that much at all under Frank has he?

Likeable guy, seems professional and would be a decent squad player. Clearly lacks the technical ability to play regularly in a top end Championship squad. From the games he’s played, always thought he did best as a no nonsense centre back.

He played quite a lot of the first good win of runs under Lampard when we played 3 at the back

No, but if he's fit he'll be in the squad
I'm not so sure. If everyone's fit, I don't see how he gets on the bench, unless we are playing 3 at the back, then will need a back up CB.

1. GK - Wilson
2. Right back - KKH
3. CB - Wolfie
4. LB - Bidwell / Breu
5. CM - Eccles / Andrews
6. CM - Allen
7. ST - Simms
8. ST - BTA / EMC / Sakamoto - depending on who drops out for Rudoni.

To me he would, primarily because of his versatility in that he can play 3 positions and play in a back 4 or 5.

But we don't need his versatility, because we have a specialist back up right back. It was different last season as he was the back up right back as well as the back up CB. You could bring him in and drop who ever is left back, but he's never going to cover left back. He's also not going to play in midfield ahead of Allen or Eccles or Andrews.

If that was the case why was he named in our official 25 man squad. During the course of a season you always need versatile players just because of injuries and suspensions if nothing else.

Great attitude and clearly a leader but lacks the mobility and technical side of things that we require nowadays - Think he'd be an excellent signing for one of the lower-mid championship teams struggling for consistency

We're talking about whether he gets in the squad when everyone's fit and available. Not if there are injuries or suspensions. He's a good squad player, but if everyone's fit and available I don't see how he gets on the bench.

But Oakey's just reminded me that it's 9 not 8 subs, so he might be 9th man ahead of Andrew's and Brue
