Seems odd that such a controversial UK story doesn’t appear to have been reported on anywhere except a regional Indian newspaper, no? Even the Daily Mail, which this report supposedly cites, doesn’t have a single article on it. Why do you think that is?

For such a long time we've seen flags removed by councils for not wanting to offend migrants. We've had councils ban white Christmas lights and replace them with blue so as not to offend minorities. We've had councils change their Christmas markets to "winter celebration markets" so as not to offend non Christians. We've now got councils trying to stop a British business having a union flag decal quoting they didnt have planning permission! People are fed up of it! People are fed up of treading on eggshells for fear of being branded a islamaphobic for wanting a Christmas market to be called just that! Fed up of being called homophobic for not wanting their countries flag replaced with an LGBT one on government buildings. Fed up of being classed as racist for having a British flag decal, on a British business.... in Britain.
People have had enough. Yes, it may be ott with the flags everywhere, but people have been pushed to make a stand. And I for one stand with this! #RaiseTheColours

Did you even read the article you posted?
Maybe if all the snowflakes stopped instantly taking everything as an attack on them and actually bothered to read the reasons behind things you wouldn't get so upset about them.
Not actually sure what you're unhappy with here. They put up something that was in breach of planning regulations, an advert, got told to take it down and replaced it with the flag which the council said was fine and didn't breach planning regulations.
Let's not let that get in the way of a good rant though.
