Neil’s post match comments were much closer to the mark than Davies’.

I live in Witney (oxfordshire). A few months ago i went into the local butcher wearing a Cov City hat (as you do), and it turns out the the chummy lady behind the counter is a die hard skyblue - born in offchurch iirc.

Well, obviously great jubilation in the butchers yesterday. But she then said she wished Lampard would lighten up. Permanently miserable, never smiles. Which had never occurred to me. Mind you not that Robins was a bundle of joy

Not sure that's true about Lampard, Robins was more dour but he still smiled quite regularly.

People who judge others for not smiling 24/7 are often cunts, so balls to that butcher.

As the great Tim Burgess said "Most of the time you are happy, you're a weirdo".

Norwich have the early warning signs about them to be honest. Playing badly, results not much better.
They're never the most optimistic lot but they're already turning on the director of football and to some extent the manager. New record of 5 home losses in a row.

If they lose the Old Farm this weekend it'll get properly toxic. The unbeaten record v Ipswich (especially after Nunez transfer) is probably the sticking plaster over years of gradual decline and pissing away a lot of the Prem money on dross, so it'll be open revolt if that goes. We may even see an improvement on this classic:

Hoping the Sky Blues do the business Sat and I can have a lovely international break watching the fun unfold.

Just an aside, but why do people in Norwich have the same accents as people in Bristol/Somerset despite being on opposite sides of the country?

Interestingly they probably had the second most wanked over window on here after Blues.
Very early days of course and we've shown 3 years in a row that crap starts don't mean much, but it does surprise me. Manning is a decent manager.

There's two things that wind 'em up- saying that, and saying 'I'm going into town'.

TBF, it's totally different to a west country accent, but you probably have to live over here for a bit to notice. Both accents are designed to be heard above the roar of a Massey Ferguson, though.

What about that Italian job that all gentlemen farmers go for?

We’ll have no talk of John Deere here in Coventry - Massey Ferguson all the way 🤩

Sounds the same to the untrained ear!

Cheers. My grandparents lived in nearby North Leigh. Had lovely memories of popping out to Witney for a shop with them a few decades ago. I hope it's still a small and charming place.

Witney = great place to live 👍
Loved my years there before heading back an hour or so north

Even the sky commentator said about Lampard, his team's 4.0 up and he looks like he's lost a fiver.

Couldn't care less, as long as we keep getting results. 😎

Their fans have something else to moan about now- away fans are being moved behind the goal from next season, so loads of season ticket holders are having to move.

Won't affect us, obviously.
Can't imagine the reason for that one, preparing for a another league,1?

I've always assumed it was something to do with them being seafaring places, so may have seen a lot of crew etc move between the two?
