He is definitely improving - i think he played well yesterday and has gone from being in my mind an impact Sub to a starting 11 - Well done Brandon
He has always been decent. He doesn't possess the skill Rudoni has, but not many do. Maybe BTA and Wright are the partnership we need. BTA always puts a shift in too and he's got very good awareness of where his teammates are

I thought he played well yesterday but watching the hilights back I think he was evenbetter thanI realised. Was much better on the ball yesterday than last week (when I tbought he also had a good game). .
He's definitely improving and his work rate can't be faulted.

Carries on like the last 2 games and he'll take some shifting.
Really impressed with what I've seen from Rapha as well so not sure we're as desperate for a winger to come in as some suggest.

His energy, press, pace and strength is a nightmare for defenders and he creates space for the likes of Haji, Rudoni etc to do their thing.

Interesting theory here but has our attacking dynamic changed since Tatsu got injured and BTA in that position? It’s a lot more powerful going forward as an attacking unit?

That was my thinking - a bit like how MR used to stumble upon winning formations, perhaps Tatsu's injury means we've stumbled upon a winning line-up. Early days, of course, but it's a definite possibility.

Gotta say, when the ball fell to him with only the keeper to beat, I had very little confidence that he would score. But holy shit, was I wrong! What a damn finish.
It was the cut back and set up for rudoni’s deflected one which I liked. I actually think the ball into him could’ve been better but he showed pace (obviously), awareness and skill to cut inside and set him up…rather than trying to shoot.
He looked good. Long may it continue.

It's been noted elsewhere but he plays more into the pitch than Saka who clings tightly to the touchline.

This gives space for MVE. I used to despair last season when MVE would pass to Tats, who would, as he always does, hold the ball well, before just passing back to MVE. MVE would then move it left. Eventually as the season progressed MVE would increasingly just cut out the middleman and pass it to the left straight away. With BTA more infield there is space for MVE to get down the touchline.

Glad BTA has started well and starting to get some credit, he's looking better and just needs to add consistency now, early doors but it's a good start for him, I've always liked BTA and knew there was a good player there just not shown it enough so hopefully this is the start of a good season for him

BTA offered pace and power as well as the obvious goal threat.
I think it suits him playing a bit wider than down the middle.
I cant see Sakamoto walking straight back into the side, and maybe we don't need to splash the cash on that Godo player from Fulham?

He's definitely keeping the shirt at the moment.

Why would we not sign that Godo?
