Not trying to create debate or controversy but hands up - I’ve been highly critical of Doug and I still lament the decision to give Robins only 14 games to prove himself without AV amongst other decisions BUT this is a master stroke.

To deal with MA on the complete quiet and purchase the stadium and give us our own home after 20 years of tenancy, is a phenomenal act that I never thought I would see accomplished.

I’m only gutted that so many of our loved ones who sat along side us at HR and the Ricoh until we left for Northampton aren’t here to see his day. Our home is ours.

Bravo Doug, you’ve done what I thought only a sheik or a euro millions win would achieve.

We’re still tenants? We have a 96 year lease or whatever.

Wow. Never thought I’d see the day. Genuinely shocked and thrilled and feel like finally we can put the last fifteen years of shite behind us. Love the symmetry of battering derby in our last game at HR and our last game without a stadium of our own twenty years later. We should invite them back in twenty years for a testimonial hammering.
Who put the ball in Derby's net? Half our fucking Former Players Association did

Ashley must now own a share of the clu
Amazing news. I wonder if Doug has given Mike Ashley or Frazers some equity in the club to help facilitate the deal? Being pragmatic having the assets combined makes us a far more saleable entity in the long run and all parties will know that.

Either way excellent for the club and f

Just give it up....he isn't going to buy the club ffs.
Why not? He may already, own a share!

You're a better man than me, mate, always will be.

I wouldn't ever set out to hurt anyone, but if I saw Maton (for example), crossing the road, I ain't braking. 😁

Jesus. Maybe let’s not have death threats against named city fans shall we?

Just out of interest whats the anecdote like on a non match day?
I would guess only used by people at a conference and / or staying at the hotel

There’s no reason for anyone else to be up there. If they’re visiting the casino they won’t be going to another bar.

Thank fuck this kills off any prospect of Mike Ashley ever owning us, piss off Kingpin.

There was never any chance of that. Ashley has never once visited the arena and has less than zero interest in another football venture.

How do you know? Why wouldn't he?

The shares have zero rights of voting that have been issued since inception. There is zero point in anyone owning them other than King.

What would the benefit be of purchasing shares which have no voting rights or any guaranteed income?

If he wanted the club he’d have got it instead of King in the first place
