Feel very emotional too! On my dad’s last day he took his oxygen mask off and asked if there was any news about the “City” buying the stadium. This club means a lot to us all and has formed many a bond between father and son etc. We must never let this happen again and I for one will spend a few quid at the club shop etc to support the Skyblue ship and I hope people come on board even if they can’t get to the games just buy something to help the war chest.👊

This sent tears my cheeks mate, my grandad never shut up about the City and filled out a notebook with all the players and stats every Sunday - he was supposed to be coming with me vs Luton in the play off final but died a week before. I was a state after Hamer scored.

Bet he's glad he died when he did tbf, seeing as we lost :ROFLMAO:

Great post.

I don't get to as many games as I used to and I've not bought anything from the shop in recent seasons either. I've been dieting and exercising since May and I've dropped 4 stone so maybe I'll celebrate with a purchase 2 sizes smaller than my usual 😉

Wow. Never thought I’d see the day. Genuinely shocked and thrilled and feel like finally we can put the last fifteen years of shite behind us. Love the symmetry of battering derby in our last game at HR and our last game without a stadium of our own twenty years later. We should invite them back in twenty years for a testimonial hammering.

Wasps, SISU & the Council... Gone, but never forget.
F the Wasps, F SISU, F the council, and the Villa too
I do wonder if there’s been some kind of analysis of the site and surrounding area to figure out whether any additional opportunities. The industrial estate could have decent potential if you were going all-in (not that I think we will).
Well the council wanted to build Wasps another hotel

Not trying to create debate or controversy but hands up - I’ve been highly critical of Doug and I still lament the decision to give Robins only 14 games to prove himself without AV amongst other decisions BUT this is a master stroke.

To deal with MA on the complete quiet and purchase the stadium and give us our own home after 20 years of tenancy, is a phenomenal act that I never thought I would see accomplished.

I’m only gutted that so many of our loved ones who sat along side us at HR and the Ricoh until we left for Northampton aren’t here to see his day. Our home is ours.

Bravo Doug, you’ve done what I thought only a sheikh or a euro millions win would achieve.

We’re still tenants? We have a 96 year lease or whatever.
