Best news in decades.

All those years of pain, misery, and uncertainty are finally over. It’s made me feel a bit emotional.

This was the last thing holding us back. This is final closure on the worst period in our history

We will be back in the premier league within a few years

Wow I'm genuinely in shock. Still part of me things some sort of practical joke

This is just huge. It doesn't mean we will become a champions league club or anything but it feels like a massive weight holding us down has been taken away

The sky is the actual limit now for us sky blues! Let's go smash QPR

Thank you to

Mark robins and Doug king in particular. Although don't wanna make it about sisu you do wonder if this could ever shave happened without them making councils life hard too.

Everything happens for a reason I guess

PUSB!

I'm actually surprised how emotional I am about this. Never thought we'd see the day we actually have it back in our hands - a proper home. King's played a blinder - only a few weeks back he was putting out smokescreens about needing a our ownnew stadium

King has a job waiting for him at MI6. The guy knows how to keep a secret. Not a hint of this whatsoever until now.

I'd just like to thank all of those who made this possible.

SISU, Coventry City Council, ACL, Wasps, without your endless incompetence, chicanery, back door deals, and in some cases, downright corruption, we'd probably not have ended up here.

Your willingness to throw vast amounts of money and time at endlessly trying to screw each other and the club over has finally paid off.

For us.

Now, from the bottom of my heart, please fuck off quietly whilst we get on with celebrating.

Hope not. Really pleased he has managed to do this but much prefer an owner who operates in the background than one who does things for self aggrandisement. I always thought the Doug Ellis Stand at Villa sounded tinpot.
Was tongue in cheek about the lettering. Although a subtle tribute would be nice 'Coventry Cidy'

Well what a momentous day in the club’s history. If Doug doesn’t achieve anything else he should be remembered for this alone.
Coincidentally it’s my 29th anniversary today, so hopefully 3 points a nice table booked for 7-30pm and………………..
Had to laugh at the Mrs earlier as she now thinks going forward that our anniversary will be put on the back burner for the day that Doug purchased the CBS! 😀

Still can't bring myself to waking up this morning feeling fine.

It explains why the club sorted the turnstiles etc etc etc.

Great news. Feels a bit weird.
The song will be resounding round the Arena this afternoon.

That's a Captain Dart promise. 😁

Who thinks we can now have a Sillett - Curtis stand named after these two heroes. First time in 20 years we can really put a load of love into the CBS. What could we do to honour Highfield Road. Never thought about this before but it’s exciting no ?

The club is owned by Doug King.

It includes:

Modern day stadium with all year round revenue
Training ground
Talented squad
Top manager

We are now a top target for investors or approaches to buy the club. Not saying Doug will sell but we’ve never been in a better position.

I'd imagine that's his ultimate goal. But if he makes some cash and the club is in a good place, then everyone's a winner.

I think he'll still be here for a bit though. He's increase the value of the club exponentially over night, getting us up would rocket it even further so I think he'll hang around and see if we can achieve that in the next year or two

Fuckin' hell...that's come out of the blue.
How was this kept secret ?
It's amazing news, but so incredibly unexpected.
Have to say...Doug has played a blinder, and even his staunchest critic must now admit, that so far, he's been a magnificent custodian of our club.
Best Deal Ever.

In the past 25 or so years and on the advent of social media.
There’s always been an undercurrent of things going on behind the scenes. I think the red herring more recently was of course The Butts Park Arena. Did make me wonder if something was about to happen.

The club wasn’t worth 1 pence yesterday as it had zero asset value - overnight it’s worth millions. It has income streams and external potential investment it’s never had in its history.
I profess to have no knowledge of this kind of stuff, but doesn't all this depend on how the purchase has been financed? What do we know about that?

Can't believe I'm not there today. Things I request:

1) DK song sung loud and proud
2) At least 3 goals and a clean sheet
3) DK to walk around the pitch to with a tshirt cannon to Thunderstruck by ACDC

It doesn’t really because the club had no asset base and a 2 year licence so was worthless.

The financing doesn’t change the asset value as such
