Yep. People reeling out the trope “can’t pass” know nothing.

That being said, I would accept that fee and re-invest. He is a little too laid back at times and for the money, I think we could get someone more suited to our high-line.

I will be annoyed at Sheffield United fans thinking they've get one over on us if it happens. We would have to go and get Hughes, we couldn't allow them to get both.

Thomas is decent and better than some give him credit for but £8m would be tremendous if we can get Hughes for a few million on top.

I'm not surprised Doug is whoring out our players. but if you can get £10m for Thomas you take it.

I'd expect us to go big on 2 CB signings though, anything less than £12m spent on 2 replacements would be crazy.

If we get rid of Bobby then I would be happy with Hughes and one other. If we get rid of one and then buy one we are in exactly the same position as we are now. Praying a CB doesn't get injured and relying on Lati or - God help us - Bidwell to cover. That would be fucking rubbish,
