This us how football works and always has done/ if you are surprised then you should give your head a wobble.

Also IF it’s true then Rudi and his agent will have told Southampton they would be willing to join to them … clubs rarely bid twice unless encouraged by the player ….
You need to give your head a wobble pal, you are way off here. It's quite pathetic actually.

Ok let’s just sell him then. Hope you’re happy watching BTA run around like a clueless headless chicken whilst Rudoni inevitably gets promoted with Southampton

At the correct price, yes.

I’m sorry, but you are not serious about getting promotion if you sell to a promotion ‘rival’. Don’t care about the fee. He’s fundamental to us.

There’s nothing to suggest that Southampton go up automatically this year, nor that we challenge for the autos. Could easily be playing them in the playoffs or fighting them out for automatics.

It would be disappointing if rudi goes. But I have faith in DK if he does. A good fee and reinvestment (which is likely to have been lined up already) is the model. I’d hardly heard of him before we signed him - they’ll be others and it’ll help the strength of the whole squad.

Anyway he’s not been sold yet.

No one wants to sell players like Rudi or MVE just as Newcastle fans don’t want to sell Isaac or Brentford fans sell Mbueno, or Hull fans sell Hughes.

It’s modern football. You can prefer football in the 80’s but it isn’t coming back …..

You know the model. We cannot keep turning down huge money for players.

Look at Sheaf, you're an injury or two away from being worth nothing.

I get what you are saying, but this hasn't really happened in this case. Largely, the only ones saying he was worth ridiculous sums were posters on here. It seems to me blaming injuries is an easy way to avoid admitting we went overboard.

It's been three seasons and he's still here. The demand was never really there.
