It was not an issue it was made an issue by Farage who used it to whip up sentiment against migration from Eastern Europe

the numbers at 800,000 net migration began in 2016 and have only just reduced

it’s not easy to stop especially when we need significant migration to ensure our older generation have enough money for their retirement and we have enough workers in some key industries

it’s far from easy
