Really hope this is true. Not bothered whether we're making a profit, just glad he's off the payroll.
It'll be a good move for him too, the future for him here wasn't looking good.
If the payroll concern is because of his supposed massive wage it’s a myth isn’t it?

A cool £2.5 million for Luis Binks and Besiktas think £6 million or whatever it was will get MvE... Deadly Doug must have laughed them out of the Mega Chippy.

I always felt uncomfortable having more than one LCB. Managers and football in general don't like a left footer at RCB but are more than happy with a right footer at LCB.

Was always weird when we signed both Binks and Kitching.

Was it weird? We've always liked our CB playing big diagonals to the wingers.

We wouldnt get that with a Right footer at LCB

No, I prefer an left footer at LCB. I just found it strange we had two LCBs in Kitching and Binks as they'll never be allowed to play at RCB. They're one position players essentially (Maybe LB).

If push comes to shove right footed CB will be put at LCB no problem.

the current is to have a leftie at lcb as it gives far better passing lanes

One of MRs most baffling signings, he was never remarkable in his loan spell and we splooged a decent fee on him last summer

Only ever was given the time of day by some cause he clattered Fernandes at Wembley

I don't get the logic.

You prefer a left footer at LCB but what if the only LCB gets injured? Why would you be happy to have a right footer play LCB but not a left footer play RCB?

He probably would have been a great signing for us the first season we got back into the Championship, but it just hasn't quite worked out for him. A shame because he is a good player for the most part.

Fair play to him going for another abroad move. I hope he can get some regular playing time and kick on in his career. He's moved around a lot so far and it doesn't feel like he's really sustained a place anywhere.

Enjoy the Danish pastries and women, Binksy.

It definitely wasn't baffling. He had all the markers and attributes to make a quality CB at this level but it just didn't work out.

His positioning, awareness and concentration needed a lot of refinement and if anything all three regressed rather than improved. I suspect some of that was confidence, but he never really adapted to the Championship.

Going to a league where it's less physical and slower paced will probably do him good.

Good player in a 3, when we could use him as the spare man with his distribution which was classy. Too soft, and nice though as a defender. I get the feeling he was probably a midfielder / forward as a youth, and has gravitated back to being a Defender. He was good at Luton last season until that inexplicable slice into his own net. Frank was never sold.
