I have seen talk of people suggesting Marc Guiu on loan from Chelsea. I cang avmctuallg find any evidence of him scoring despite his price tag

I would be surprised if he didn't get a loan at a PL club. Brentford could be in if Wissa leaves which is looking possible

Tom Collomosse has done a big Coventry transfer update on Mail+. Highlights here:

- Interest in Van Ewijk but no offers yet. Cov value him at £15m.
- Lampard wants a new striker (confusingly worded, he either wants a striker who can play multiple positions or a striker AND a 2nd versatile attacker)
- Haji open to leaving but again no offers yet
- Potential striker movement next week: permanent and loan outgoings
- Binks has multiple admirers
- Bidwell wanted by Derby

EDIT: Think he’s hinting at Wright being the permanent outgoing and Lampard wanting 2 new attackers if he does go

Arguably the most information we’ve had all summer , definitely in one package. I think we need to move Binks and BIdwell so that’s good - I suspect BTA is the perm outgoing striker and maybe Raphael and Bassette might be the loan(s). I’d rather we kept Haji but if he goes then surely it’s for good money. I wonder if the Chelsea lad might come here ??

I think maybe this is a bit of fun.

Mark owes us nothing it's definitely us fans owe him.

I think BTA is a handy squad forward. I would prefer him to stay around rather than than Ellis. It's unlikely that we will suddenly have two new effective forwards to replace Ellis or Hadji but for me that would be ideal scenario.
Life moves on. I was one of those who shouted the loudest about how we got rid of Robins and how I had my doubts about Lampard. Lampard has proven me wrong 100%.

We have many fond memories of our years with Robins in charge, but he took us as far as he could. We were good for each other. But Lampard will take us to the next level.

We're going to start by giving Hull a pasting then the confidence will grow. Thanks for the memories Mark. Enjoy your next project.

Certainly. The era of being an also ran to change to being a serious contender.

Does anyone else think we will finish between 2nd and 4th?
That’s what I wanted to hear.

Feels to me like we’ve got a lot of transfer business still to do.

Not with our current striking options and centre halves
Our problem last season wasn't scoring goals. It was controlling games and letting most shots on target in.

It would be great if we could bring in another experienced striker. We are now stronger than last season though. A couple of crucial signings and we should be right up there with the best But there will always be a worry until September 1st and the transfer window closes.

Our strikers scored nowhere near enough

I don't see it myself without more strength in the centre of defence and up front.
A very talented GK will help out our defence massively. We have goals right through the team. As I have said a few times a good striker would be great ut we do have goals right through our side

We had problems missing easy chances at one end while giving howlers away at the other. Hopefully the goalkeeper situation is now sorted, but we need better up front than we’ve got.

Of course it would be great to have a better striker. But as you stated we have solved the problem of GK. We will have to see what happens before September.

Did we score a lot of goals? How did we do when our main striker was out injured.
I would suggest we scored a lot of goals as a team. Having a goalscoring striker is crucial. There was countless times last year we should have killed off games but didnt.

I think if wright stays and stays fit he’ll score enough, I’m just not sure he suits how we wants to play as much as someone else might. The wingers need more goals.
