Makes sense. Would be good to have extra cover/options.
That lad from Oxford was mentioned…and others have said yer man from Blackburn, although I don’t know if he can play in the middle.

I think we'll see some new faces this week and find some are in to say goodbyes.

Toffolo and Villa lad would be a nice start to the week. But with Doug nothing would shock me either incoming or out..

A fit Torp playing as he did towards the end of the season is going to be great for the squad depth. I think it’s defence where we will see most movement especially if MVE leaves - I “presume” we will see another LB, probably 2 RBs and 1 new CH , couple of quality additions there would be fantastic. Up front is where we are obviously most divided, Simms going is expected by most of us I am sure but IF the coaching team can find the player from 2 seasons ago then why would we change ? Appreciate that he really divides opinion though. So I do t expect too many departures and incomings but it’s vital that if we can those coming in are genuine probable starters. The next few weeks will be very interesting!

I am a Z lister when it comes to being ITK , probably below that if it’s possible !! I did hear in February that Eccles had been told to find a new club ( I am not sure I believed that then or now) and the second story which was April time was that the coaching team were running out of patience with Simms and the person who told me that had some genuine knowledge where as the first one was simply a mate who claimed he had heard it from other connected to the club !

We need genuine first team starters . No problem with a couple of good squad players of course but if we are serious about top 2 then it’s starters we need

I used to watch films but being in my 60s I struggle to get through the first 30 minutes or so without falling asleep, and that's if I can hear what they're saying

It isn't how long we have left to sign players. It's how many weeks before the new season starts that new players have with their new club. New players need to learn new systems. Different players like the ball to be played into certain areas. Some are faster than others and so on.

Let's pay a couple of extra weeks wages and get them in. Learn on the training pitch and not miss opportunities while learning on the football pitch.

Maybe we can't spend what we don't have , I want the club to be sustainable and not end up in huge debt like QPR, Shef Wed, and Bristol City.
