Don’t think it did.

The doc says Sporting covered the original sell on due to Brighton that was €2.2m IIRC. Don’t think it mentions future sell ons but that might be covered as part of it.

This has been discussed to death on here

Pretty sure you're confusing a few things

Firstly Sporting covered the initial sell on % to Brighton

Secondly, the reduction from 15 to 10% was because they had already paid out on some performance clauses (otherwise we could have been making ridiculous money on the back end of this deal).

So King has said that whatever sell on fee we do receive, part of that will go to Brighton.

Yes no I agree with all but the last bit that we owe Brighton anything more and Sporting paid us a fee to reduce the clause

That is the FIFA solidarity payments that the buying club is obligated to distribute to any clubs involved in his development up to the age of 23. Not just Brighton, but his former clubs. This has nothing to do with whatever sell-on clause Brighton negotiated with us as part of his transfer... which Doug King has also confirmed will apply to any further monies that we receive from Vik's potential sale.

The document also mentioned intermediatory fees. I expect this relates to the fees Vik's agents charged Sporting for the deal...

Fifa solidarity fee is a flat 5% of the transfer fee paid in proportion to his time at his previous clubs up to the age of 23. Approximately:

FC St. Pauli€120k
IF Brommapojkarna€480k
IFK Aspudden-Tellus€240k

The additional €1m is agent fees most likely.

The sell on fee to Brighton is in addition and will be whatever they negotiated as part of his sale. It's allegedly 15%...

Where did the money to buy Grimes come from then?!

Doug will spend what he thinks he can spend within the budget framework that we are working with.

You can never earmark a sell on clause for a player that in theory might never be sold... no matter how probable that it appears to be. That would just be foolish and reckless way to run the club...

BTA was paid for using the sell on we sold to them last summer if a recall correctly. Any sale for Vik now is an additional 5million which i doubt we have even touched yet.

Far too late in life, I learned - what in retrospect was pretty obvious - how much easier it is to make money when you're involved in something where there are big numbers flying around.

If the main transaction is, say, £50m a fee of "just £100k or so seems almost trivial.

This principle seems to be on steroids where agents' fees in transfers are concerned.

The chances are that whoever buys Gykores will pay the fee in instalments. I assume that our sell-on fee will be paid in the same way, so we will get 10% of each stage payment.

It’s not necessarily such bad news as it sounds because no doubt we will pay our outgoing transfer fees in the same way.

We receive our additional 10% as and when Sporting receive it, unless we negotiate otherwise... So if for example the initial installment to Sporting was €30m then we wouldn't get much to begin with... but we could immediately add the future installments into our cash-flow planning...

That answers my question on the Vik situation

Any additional income for any business is a positive. No matter of the money from Vik we still and would of had to wheel and deal in the market. Nothing changes we will seek gems, plenty of them about.

'We piss off' is the direct translation, but I think the idea that we ripped of Coventry works. Or maybe the first - maybe it's a statement of principle: keep Gyokeres, piss off Coventry. Their fans love him no doubt.

I don’t get this at all. He was only on loan at St. Pauli ( from Brighton) there’s no way they are entitled to £120k

It's a bit of a joke that they think that, we mugged Brighton off,the real crime is that no one was prepared to gamble on him at the time.
Anyway only could have gained About five more million out of it if that was the case.
