As a frequent visitor of the "annoy you" thread and I'm on post holiday blues, thought I'd post something positive... small things in life that make you genuinely content.

I'll start with (as much as the PL is plastic now) watching Super Sunday, having a few beers and a roast/takeaway before the inevitable dread of a Monday morning.

That bit of time that you can get where you do absolutely nothing, don't think about anything but just listen to the world go round and do nothing for a bit.

I had a couple of plans whilst away that I didn't do, but I'm genuinely happy I just relaxed and looked at sunsets etc and did absolutely nothing.

When I’ve been fishing and the urge for a dump comes on. By the time I get back home I’m busting. The relief when it’s deposited even before you start your wazz is a wonderful feeling.

Eating lemon meringue pie. Listening to music. Listening to music whilst eating a lemon meringue pie.

The sea.

We are 8 mins walk from the beach and can't see it from our house, so every time we see it, it's an absolute joy.

Look out to sea and we can see France and if we look left, it's the White Cliffs of Dover.

City winning. Always puts an extra spring in my step.

Stand-up comedy

Going to gigs

Pizza

My daughter when she's happy.

Honestly - seeing City win. The last two home games, being stuck in traffic after those performances has really wound me up.

City win and West Brom lose.

Being greeted home from work by my kids -6 and 8... I know they'll grow out of it soon though...😭

Summer holiday time... Work hard to be able to take the family away. Really really look forward to that part of the year!

one of the reasons i don’t mind a short flight or a train journey, i mean like a few hours.

what a delightful excuse to just chill out and do whatever the fuck you want

The ocean/the beach

Been a wild few years and now live away from family and friends and been some huge career and life moves

I’m extremely fortunate to live a short walk from the beach and whenever i feel stressed or have some spare time, just wander to the beach with the dog and watch the sunset. Its mesmerising, something about the vastness of the water that makes you realise most of life’s daily stress is truly insignificant

McDonalds in Warwick. My lad likes the bacon flatbreads but not the fat. I take that off, nasty job, then go into the loo to wash my hands.

It's usually quiet in there and there are two hand driers. Love it when I can use both, one per hand...it's those moments that make life worth living.

You should treat yourself and get one fitted at home.

Do you hold your hands out in front of you and say "it was THIS big" afterwards?

Taking my lad up the city.
He loves it, and I think loves the time we get together* and meeting up with some of my Cov friends.
I think also likes that I’m a bit laissez faire about his swearing…”dad, what happens in the CBS stays in the CBS”.

*he really enjoyed the Swansea game. 8 hours in a car, just to watch us play horrendously.

Big bowl of pork crackling in the work canteen “help yourself”.

Don’t mind if I do.

I still say to the wife that sneezing whilst taking a dump is the closest a man can get to a full on orgasm!!

My 10 month old grandson, he just makes me so utterly happy whenever I see him in a way I cannot really explain.

The sound of children playing in a school playground, it's a mixture of shouting, screaming and sheer unadulterated excitement that always makes me smile.

Absolutely, shame we tend to pen them in nowadays ain't it?

Making shit puns. In our household, we have a penchant for giving items a nickname.

The two teles are named "Stevie the TV" and "Elle the tele", my contribution is naming the shoe rack, Jacques (didn't know whether to post this in the politics thread!)

Shouldn't it be Ellie the telly?
