If true I find it a little odd, but on the flip side if we didn’t sign him, he stays and gets Posh promoted - what’s his value then in the summer?

It’s going to be horrendously difficult to get out of the league this year. Next season’s Championship won’t be as strong, I can see the merits in loading up to give it a good crack come August if we don’t go up.

but if this is the guy we want then so be it

May as well just release a statement saying 'we don't think we're going to get promoted this season but we'll go for it next year'.

I don't disagree with the logic given how many strong sides there are in this league and I'm happy that we're recruiting right but we're 6th ffs

So Mark Robins is building for a big push to the premier league next season then.

Let's be real here this is the club planning over the next 2 - 4 seasons to make the Premier league .. our fans ofcourse want it now but the club are creating a future and can't bank on a promotion this year ..

Be a cracking team here though over the next couple years

It's January deadline day and we've managed to make a summer signing!

MacAnthony has quite openly said if they were to sell one of their top talents in January there would have to be a loan back or it's a deal breaker.

If he keeps tearing up L1 like he is bigger clubs would come in for him in the summer. Or, if Peterborough come up he could stay so makes sense to get it done now. Can't disagree that we could really do with him now though.
