Listened to it brilliant, he knew Gus and vik were leaving on the coach back after the play off final, that puts all the bullshit to bed then, loves it here, plenty more to do, makes you realize how daft the fans are who wanted him gone after our poor start, knows exactly what he’s doing, we’re in good hands

Shows how much the clingers on know, if Gus wanted to go after Wembley.

All the stories about wages etc, just people who have had their noses put out of joint by a new owner clamping down on leaks and special treatment.

I think we are lucky to have MR.

He has dragged us up, in just a handful of years, from the torrid depths of League 2 to being only a penalty shootout away from the Premiership.

I genuinely believe that he likes it here and is invested in the project to get us back to the top flight. I feel that, for the first time in many years, with him as manager and DK as owner the club is in safe hands.

We need to move on from Hamer now the truth is out in the open (and tbh I think he needs to move on from us)

From the horses mouth his mind was made up as soon as we lost the final - I understand but all this coming back and watching games and what not needs to be put to bed now, let the past be the past

A really good listen with some decent questions for a change. There’s no doubt we have one of, if not the best manager outside the top division.

I do think we will continue to improve year on year with him at the helm.

I don’t know if anyone carried on listening after MR left but they were saying in the studio that it’s a mystery between football people why he hasn’t been given a shot at the prem.

I believe Mark robins will take us to the Premier league(over the next few seasons) ... cementing himself as coventrys greatest ever manager , from that point I believe more career opportunities open up for him that currently arent there , especially if we are relegated

Wait…so it isn’t true that Hamer was desperate to turn down the premier league and stay in the championship with us? And it wasn’t anything to do with Doug King not offering a little bit more? Wow. I’d have never have thought that.

Jokes aside. I think Gyokeres was off either way. Hamer may have been persuaded if we’d got promoted.

Was just listening to radio whilst driving and without announcement they bought Robins onto the show who gave a really interesting interview.

Think he comes on about 8.29pm

And did I hear right, Viktor Gyokeres had offers from premier league club's but wanted to go Sporting Lisbon.

I honestly don’t think so. It’ll be like a Dyche or Howe situation at Burnley and Bournemouth respectively. He either takes us as far as he can and he gets sacked after a period of managed decline or he walks because he’s taken us as far as he can.

If he takes us back up to the Prem and keeps us there, he’ll have cemented himself as our best ever manager. Older cohorts of fans may disagree, but there isn’t an argument against it.

Really enjoyed that. He’s a voice of reassurance and comfort. Couldn’t imagine listening to anyone else talking about the club at this point.

We’re incredibly lucky to have him. The MR out narrative is cyclical and it’ll be back again next year. Disappointing aspect this time around was that a lot of decent posters bought into it.

Side note - not sure if it’s just me and/or the platform I used to listen, but how bloody hard was it to find the start of his interview!
