David O Day is a top-tier clown so i wouldn't worry too much about his opinions...

Barnsley has always been one of my favourite away days. Pretty easy access by car or train, ground close to the town centre, plenty of pubs. Huge away end generally with unrestricted seating. To be honest most yorkshire away days rank up there as some of the best in the country.

I'm a clown? Mate there's a secret forum all about you.

but when you’re average age is 22 years old they’re improving all the time. Watching us play I’m convinced we’ll be a decent top half side if we can keep our players and head coach. Only time will tell but if we play like we normally do your in for a shock on Saturday.

Just because your team is young doesn’t necessarily mean they’re going to improve. My post was more about your team massively underachieving in terms of xG

Anyway fwiw I won’t be shocked as I acknowledge it’s a tough game and we’re in the same group of teams as you with staying up the aim

they've improved massively since this time last year and continue to do so.

Right, Luke Thomas is like a Jack Russell. Tons of energy and never stops working, but doesn't know where the net is. Chaplin also some question marks there. Not saying they won't play out of their skin with us, but I'm a little bemused by people making out we are playing Barcelona. They just had two first choice defenders suspended too. I'm sure for the league.

If we play like we have done in the last two games I am actually pretty confident. Also, taking everyone's comments about our squad, I have collected a consensus of our best XI. We should play this team:

GK: Marosi
RWB: Pask
CB: Hyam
CB: McFazdean
CB: Drysdale
LWB: McCallum
CDM: Dabo
CDM: Shipley
AM: O'Hare
AM: Giles
ST: Biamou

and had 19 shots, only got 4 on target, posts, side nettings, and row P when it was easier to score. I’d say we’ll start taking our chances at some point, but I’ve been saying it since December and now I really don’t think we will.

Just for context we had 28 shots in two games.
Confidence very fragile still?

We won L1 less than 4 months ago, we haven't lost a league match since last year, our squad is in no doubt better than last seasons and we've started the Championship well with an unlucky defeat against BCFC (who beat a decent Stoke side this weekend 2-0 away) and a decent win against QPR, playing some great football along the way as well as the fact that Dabo and Rose are back from injuries sooner than many expected.

Bar a penalty defeat in the least important of the 3 competitions we're in this season and the injury to Jodi Jones, I would say our confidence is arguably the highest it's been in years.

Im going off the performance first half at QPR and what Robins said about is needing to believe how good we are. It would be natural for the players to feel the same as the fans and be unsure we “belong” here until we’ve established ourselves a bit.

just for context we played 30 minutes with 10 men and 25 with 9 men on Saturday, and still restricted Reading to 6 shots at goal and had 9 ourselves.

Literally only had 4 points more than Hull who were diabolical and haven't scored a goal yet.]]If you'd have got relegated you'd probably be on League One forums telling them you're the best side to ever get relegated.

And we gave QPR the ball for the entirety of the first half and they still only had 7 shots all game.

Im just saying we’re very similar teams only we seem to do it slightly better and have a striker who averages 1 in 2 🤷🏻‍♂️

He’ll start with the players that got us our first Championship win I reckon.

Kelly to come on second half. Sheaf to come on for him when he inevitably breaks down from injury ten minutes later.

Barnsley fan says strikers are good at defending but cant score. So thats a clean sheet sorted then.

We've scored in 23 of our 25 last competitive games

I'm confident of a tight win, not saying it will be easy, but im still confident!

Would definitely put Sheaf in. So much more composed than Shipley on the ball which will be crucial against Barnsley's press.

....although look back at our equaliser against QPR and you'll see that it was Shippers' composure that started the move that led to the goal.

“Everyone”

you were the only person to comment about it at this point 🤦🏻‍♂️ If you don’t like it don’t bother commenting on a fans football Forum or was your comment to get a couple of likes ? We have enough attention seekers on here we don’t need another LG 😝
